I don't mean the actual temperature. It could be 20c/70f or 35c/100f, doesn't matter, the direct sunlight lately feels almost painfully uncomfortable at times. It really feels like there's a lot more radiation getting through or something.

Anyone else notice this? This year is really starting to freak me out so make incredibly noticeable events are going on and yet most people think nothing of them.

A friend and I were commenting about it, too. Yep, it feels hotter. We are in Missouri.

funny you posted this!!Just today I was driving and had my window down just enough that the sun light was hitting my pant leg. And it got very hot very uncomfortable. I thought the same thing you posted to myself, I've drove with the sun hitting parts of me forever but have never ever been this bothered by it that I would even think such thoughts.
I do have to say I live in the Seattle area and it really the second day of sunshine that we have had in a long stretch.

The sun is always at its strongest this time of year because we just had the summer equinox.

yeah, true, but i've been noticing this since April. I personally can't spend too much time in the direct sunlight anymore without feeling uncomfortable after a few minutes and i use to LOVE sitting out in the sun.

I was just thinking the same thing..yesterday and today the sun light felt very uncomfortable, and the temp was 75-80 degrees. I live north of Seattle. But I think the ozone over the Puget Sound region is depleted, I remember seeing a news report on that in the late 90's. Chemtrails have been hella crazy lately too. Those bastards are really over doing it imo.

That doesn't sound dumb at all. It sounds exactly like what I began noticing a little more than a year ago. It isn't so much the heat as it is a noticable burning feeling on exposed skin even through windows. It also appears to be white now where it used to be yellow.

Been getting worse for years. I remember when the sun was Yellow, now its more White. Seems like the UV is higher. Sunburns happen faster. Its normal hot, but higher UV.

Its stronger in my yard! Just cut down three trees. All the shade is gone. Dogs are pissed off looking for shade!

Just ordered one of those shade sails for the back yard.

I agree with you OP. The sun not only feels hotter but also seems brighter than when we were kids. Sunburns happen a LOT quicker than years ago. It has gone from yellow to bright white.

Same here in Arkansas. I noticed even back in April. Sometimes it feels like your skin is cooking.

Yes, weather use to have a UV index up to 10..now it is 12.
Also, today my car was parked in the sun and it took forever for the steering wheel to cool off enough for me to touch it!

Where do you live? We've had unusually chilly, rainy weather here..that's really saying something for W. Washington. Wednesday and Thursday of this week was the first that it's gotten over the low 70's. And the sun still sizzles...wtf?

yes it feels hot like fire and also it change the way it affects your skin.

Remember like 10 years ago? you can go to a beach and get a nice tan, then a week later more or less your tan skin peel off?
Well now you expose yourself to the sun rays and you feel it burns and get you a tattoo type color that don't peel off..

As we near the Solar Maximum I suspect the heat will be much more noticeable.

I first noticed this 8-9 years ago, the sunlight seemed hotter, my skin would burn more easily-- even with sunblock. Sunlight used to feel good, now I feel like I am being scalded. And yes, the actual light now seems different too- whiter, more pearly-- never golden anymore.

definitely a distinct 'radiated' feeling that wasn't so noticeable in the past.
