Where are you? Are you serious? Cloudy all the time?

I live in Oklahoma, but work part time in Alaska. In OK the sun is an actinic white hot blowtorch and the sky is no longer sky blue, but is a brilliant deep blue purple. Even though we had a nice cool front recently, trees are still dying and the ones still alive often have dead tops.

When I am in SW Alaska, I seldom get to see the sun in the summer because of constant clouds and rain, and see it all to often in the winter. Because of this, they did not have enough snow to cover the ground for the snowmachines for much of this past winter. When the sun does shine up there, it burns the skin even if it is quite cold outside - like when you are high up in the mountains, only it is near sea level. The weather is screwed up everywhere. I just hope the plants and animals have enough genetic diversity for some of them to survive this change.
