childoflight User ID: 281980 Singapore 06/29/2010 02:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | WE ARE FUCKED Quoting: Anonymous Coward 992677I FOUND WHAT B3 IS READ'EM AND WEAP "During the 1962-1964 period strategic analysts postulated the Soviet defense would have an improved discrimination (radar) capability and a greater defense in depth with "SPRINT" type interceptors by the post-1967 period. Various advanced POLARIS preliminary design concepts were studied by LMSC to offset the perceived Soviet threat. In October 1962, the POLARIS A3a was offered. It was a 66 in. diameter missile versus the prior 54 in. missiles. Concepts included a large single warhead, a three-warhead system, and penetration system options compatible with the missile system's desired maximum range. This was followed by various POLARIS B3 missile concepts. Various reentry system configurations were evaluated (e.g., a single warhead, a cluster of multiple warheads, an aerodynamic maneuvering warhead, a low-altitude terminal dash). These configurations were code-named B3D, B3H, B3E, etc. Finally in July 1963, Lockheed proposed a POLARIS B3D to counter the expected (1969 to 1970) increased defense against ballistic missiles. The POLARIS missile diameter would increase to 74 in. The SSBN launcher's inner tube sized for a 54 in. diameter missile would be removed and non-launchable seals (pads) would be installed directly to the outer tube to accommodate the B3D's 74 in. diameter." OMG do you think the thing is about to detonate? that will be a race against time for the bomb disposal squad! [link to www.fas.org] Nice catch. Thanks |

Quoting: RenegadeSonIf the information is correct from Simmons about the size of the rim/caldera, what size volcano could we potentially be dealing with? Thank you to who ever can provide the answer. Good Q..don't know. He did mention that if it rises to the surface, we would eventually see the largest island formed in the world..in the Gulf. I think (according to Simmons) other catastrophic things are going to happen much before that though, he said the 1st of July we could see the worst case scenario, with the hurricane pushing toxic gases inland. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 652750 United States 06/29/2010 02:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | New Matt Simmons interview is pretty explosive. He says that there is what amounts to a 'hole' in the sea floor about ten miles away from what everyone thinks is the leak. He says that 120,000 barrels of oil and toxic gases are pouring out.. and that it is all on fire and extremely hot.. OP's 'pipes' could be volcanic vent pipes forming. He also says that what is being viewed on the live feeds is not the real leak. Everyone needs to listen and make up their own mind. A lot of what Simmons says is happening could tie in with what the OP of this thread is reporting. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1019726Link [link to www.trunews.com] WARNING this a slow load..seems everyone is listening I was listening to the interview. But why should there be another hole/leak in the floor ten miles away? BP are operating at the drilling hole. There can't be any other hole caused by the oil-rig. BP's officially doesn't know, what caused this desaster. If somebody missed it, you can listen to SHR's GLP voicechat concerning the oilleak. The folks that were saying this earlier might not be crazy. I suppose it's as plausible as anything yet proposed. It would be in line with Cayce wouldn't it? Yes, there is some hard evidence out there of a large "bubble" pushing up the sea bed. This was even acknowledged in the MSM. Quoting: minimeister 971641CAtching up on the pages so forgive if Renegade has reposted this info. Jack M. Reed, a retired Texaco geologist-geophysicist who has been studying the region's geology for over 40 years, has evidence and a plausible theory regarding the fault lines, rift zone, tectonic plates in the GOM. Excerpt: According to him, the Gulf was and is tectonically active -- and it is the likely origin for not only the New Madrid seismic activity, but also for the Middleton Place-Summerville seismic zone near Charleston, S.C. "For all the years I have worked the Gulf of Mexico Basin I have been forced to accept the 'passive' Gulf formation theory, which holds that the only movement in the basin is updip sedimentary loading that moved the salt southward," Reed said. "But there is little evidence to support this theory, and it doesn't fit what is observed geologically or geophysically. "As Hugh Wilson said (1993), 'It would be geologically unusual for such a large basin as the Gulf of Mexico to remain almost tectonically undisturbed for 170 million years while major orogenic disturbances repeatedly struck bordering areas.'" Reed, over the years, has gathered evidence that supports plate motion in the Gulf basin. Thick salt and sedimentary sequences in the basin mask this tectonic motion, but there is enough basin and peripheral evidence to show plate readjustment is occurring -- evidence, he says, in the form of volcanics, earthquakes and rift zones that are accompanied by magnetic, refraction, seismic and gravity data.
