dim I looked into growing algae for biofuel. Fascinating. China is already producing algae for biofuel and here in Thailand I thought I could get free oil from all the fried food places. No way they, the thai, are already way ahead of me. I was living in hawaii when I started and there are some salt water strains that are very high in oil content. Any way thought it might help in your deliberations. rken

was a mechanical design engineer on CAD (computer aided design).... was in the early 80's when sanctions were imposed on South Africa

Sasol could not obtain spares for existing machinery, so we had a small design team (working 'secretly')with 2 metalurgists and we reversed engineered all the compononets for the machinery (pumps, turbines, compressors etc)....

made good money and enjoyed that job

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
from another forum: (posted in June 2007)

snip:

Hi All,

I received an email from the ETC Group with an update to "Venter Institute Seeks Patent on Synthetic Life-Form Good-bye, Dolly...Hello, Synthia!" that reads in part:

The G(e)nomes of Zurich: Civil Society Calls for Urgent Controls on Synthetic Life states that this, "attempts to build synthetic life forms". Synthetic biologists contend that all the parts of life can be made synthetically (that is, by chemistry) and then engineered together in the laboratory to produce “living machines” – fully working organisms programmed for particular tasks."

And, if that is not scary enough, the article reveals there is not a regulatory agency for such technology.

“Once more a new technology is storming ahead with no government or international body able to regulate or control it,” says biologist Florianne Koechlin from SAG (the Swiss Working Group on Gene Technology). “Once more we hear from the scientific community, supported by industry and the military, that they have life under control and will soon be able to construct it."

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the very first complacent, do whatever the government/military/organization says to do, human clone could be born in a petri dish in a few weeks and he, she or it could very well be part and parcel to Craig Venter's institute which filed "US patent application no. 20070122826, entitled “Minimal bacterial genome,” claims monopoly ownership of a “free-living organism that can grow and replicate” whose genome (full genetic information) has been built entirely through mechanical means."

The rest of the emailed article can be found at the ETC Group. [link to www.etcgroup.org] ( [link to www.etcgroup.org]

Scientists are meeting this very week in Zurich to discuss the latest developments in this field of genetic engineering. This is indeed out of control, out of the normal, and a flagrant display of technological abuse, as I see it. I concur, this should not and cannot go further, but it looks like it already got its "seal of approval".

The ETC Group is one hell of an organization and I highly suggest signing up for their emails. You will not be disappointed with their deliveries

It seems like if they could create synthia. A totaly new life form with a specific purpose. They could create a life form as a plague that would only trigger if a person had certain genes or blood types or combination of certain qualities much like the new computor virus that only attacks systems with certain type of pumps and with a certain number of pumps etc. Crazy possibilities. rken

I posted a video a few pages back where venter stated that they could create vaccines

so .... like the saying goes .... create a problem ... and offer the solution (and make a shit load of money at the same time)

but then, going deeper, if the vaccines thingy can be controlled by HAARP etc, as some have said, it 'creates' all sorts of possibilities

still trying to figure out where Aco's posts tie in .... but perhaps I am on the wrong track here

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
I have read all pages of this thread. I am amazed by the investigating that has gone on....and applaud all regardless of outcomes, false leads, interesting links etc...but today something clicked and I really don't understand it yet myself. I read somewhere a random post on the GOM about a company OOIL. To the best of my recollection it was not only random but out of place if you will. Outing myself here...I tend to follow the not so obvious. Call it curiosity or refusal to conform....but I digress. I started back then to look into what if any connection there was because the post seemed so out of place. This morning I had a dejavu moment while reading ( don't ask ) and it has taken me to the following....and I really haven't a clue why but I feel compelled to 'find' something. Call it a gut feeling. Or perverse curiosity that leads aboslutely nowhere. Let me know what you think...

OOIL Who is OOIL?? [link to www.ooilgroup.com]

Orient Overseas (International) Limited (“OOIL”), a company with total revenues in excess of US$4.3 billion, has principal business activities in container transport and logistics services. Listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, the OOIL Group has more than 280 offices in 55 countries.calendar

( Should I be suprised that it is Chinese owned?)

Not sure where this is going but it feels like I am being pulled if that makes any sense. It sure doesn't to me.

largest shareholder according to CNN Money is Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc. ( however if you go to OOIL's shareholder site on their webpage, they claim it is Fortune Crest Inc. ....a comapny that I can not for the life of me find ANY information on whatsoever. Nothing. Nil. Zilch.Anyone else find this odd?)

A few facts about SF-Stifel, Nicolaus & Co., Inc. from Forbes.

# The CEO is Ronald J. Kruszewski.
# One of the largest middle-market investment banks
# Corporate headquarters in St. Louis

Leading "off Wall Street" equity research franchise
5th largest research department in the U.S. and the largest provider of small cap coverage
#1 in Stock Picking and #1 in Earnings Estimate Accuracy out of 264 firms in StarMine's 2008 domestic rankings
Over 60 senior research analysts covering 826 companies

Who does Mr. Kruszewski rub elbows with? Short Biography...
51 Years Old
Ronald J. Kruszewski has been Chairman of the board of directors of the Company and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. since April 2001 and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Stifel Financial Corp. and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. since September 1997. Mr. Kruszewski serves on the board of directors of SIFMA (Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association). He is active in community affairs, serving as Chairman of Downtown Now! and as a member of the board of directors of the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association and Barnes-Jewish Hospital as well as the Board of Trustees of Webster University and the St. Louis Science Center. He is also past Chairman of the board of directors of Downtown St. Louis Partnership, Inc. Mr. Kruszewski is a member of the Regional Business Council in St. Louis and is a member of the St. Louis Chapter of the Young Presidents' Organization. Ronald J. Kruszewski, is Co-Chairman, President, and CEO of Stifel Financial Corp.

The only relation that stuck out here was this....not sure why.

Young Presidents Organization. [link to www.ypo.org]

Intersting...their disclaimer:
Connecting to the right people, information and ideas has always been important. In today’s complex, competitive and interconnected world, it is absolutely essential. Great business leaders know their networks make the difference. The network that matters most is YPO

Ok...sounds a bit egotistical to me but what do I know. So...who do THEY rub elbows with??

According to their 'alliance' page...Harvard, London Business School and Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Weird. The first two one can almost expect ( sounds very elitish to me) ...but whats with the last one? Not everyone is interested in Oceanography.....are they??

According to their website: [link to www.sio.ucsd.edu]
About Us
Scripps Institution of Oceanography is one of the oldest, largest, and most important centers for ocean and earth science research, education, and public service in the world. Research at Scripps Institution of Oceanography encompasses physical, chemical, biological, geological, and geophysical studies of the oceans and earth.

OK.

Interesting article from May 2010. 'Navy selects Scripps to operate state of the art research vessel'.
[link to scrippsnews.ucsd.edu]

Scripps operates one of the largest U.S. academic fleets with four oceanographic research ships and one research platform for worldwide exploration.

In April of 2009 a regional partnership was announced for the development of algae biofuels.

a few snippets from the above article;
These scientists recently established the San Diego Center for Algae Biotechnology, or SD-CAB. The primary goal of the center is to create a national facility capable of developing and implementing innovative research solutions for the commercialization of fuel production from algae.
SD-CAB scientists are not only examining fresh-water species of algae, but those from the sea, an effort being carried out by researchers at Scripps Oceanography.
"SD-CAB will train young scientists, educate the public and facilitate discussion and collaboration with regional, state and national policy makers about the potential of algae for energy independence and conservation," said Kay.

National policy makers......hmm.

SO..who is on the Advisory Board for this newly established SD-CAB??

Paul Engh
CEO, Carbon Capture Corporation (CCC)

As CEO of Carbon Capture Corporation (CCC), Paul Engh is a pioneer in the nascent algae fuel industry. Since 2006, CCC has operated the world's largest algae fuel research facility and pursued the dual goals of carbon dioxide abatement (BACT) for power plants and algae biomass production.

Mr. Engh is actively forming national policy for algae fuel research. Internationally, CCC recently participated in academic and industry meetings in Israel, Ireland, Germany, France, Canada, and Singapore.

Using his business background in farm management, construction, and energy development, Engh looks forward to helping the San Diego/Imperial Valley region become the "Green Houston" as envisioned by the San Diego Center for Algae Biotechnology (SD-CAB).

Who are the affiliates of SD-CAB? [link to algae.ucsd.edu]

For starters we have Salk Institute [link to www.salk.edu]

History of Salk:

The Salk Institute was established in the 1960s by Jonas Salk, M.D., the developer of the polio vaccine. His goal was to establish an institute that would explore questions about the basic principles of life. He wanted to make it possible for biologists and others to work together in a collaborative environment that would encourage them to consider the wider implications of their discoveries for the future of humanity.

Current President of Salk: William R. Brody. [link to en.wikipedia.org]
William R. Brody is the current President of the Salk Institute and former President of The Johns Hopkins University, a position which he had held from 1996 to 2009. On March 10, 2008, he announced his intent to step down as president effective December 31, 2008. This was postponed to March 3, 2009 upon Hopkins naming Ronald Daniels, the provost of the University of Pennsylvania its next President. He was the highest-paid university president in the United States, receiving $897,786 in 2004, and regained the title in 2007. Brody received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees, the latter also in electrical engineering, from Stanford University. Dr. Brody continued his post-graduate training at the University of California San Francisco where he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology in 1977. On May 21, 2009,an honourary doctorate was conferred on him by the The Johns Hopkins University

On October 13, 2008, the Salk Institute announced that Brody would join their staff as president as of March 2009.[1]

He serves as a director of Medtronic, an international medical device company, and is on the board of directors of IBM.[2]

He is a personal friend of Michael R. Bloomberg, current mayor of New York City, who often gives financial support to the university as an alumnus.

A Hohn Hopkins connection: They are also an affiliate of SD-CAB

Tell us about your education, Isis. That was a well written paper.

Great paper, indeed, Isis! A++

Thanks TuTu hf
 Quoting: Isis7

Isis.....outstanding work on your theory!!!!
Your theory is right on target and the pics of Greenland are amazing and yes, I think that it could have been Atlantis at one point. This really does fit in with dreams that I had about 15 years ago before I had even ever heard of crustal shift or land mass movement. The dream was terrifying as I was on a land mass that was being shifted upwards and at very bizarre angles and I remember thinking in the dream how it was possible for the ground to shift that way!!!

This statement that you made "Perhaps it was something that happened in the universe, and the force of what ever happened sped in waves through out the universe eventually effecting earth as well." has actually been verified by Dr Paul la Violette. Prior to the earthquake and resulting tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004, a gamma ray burst was detected arriving from the galaxy center just slightly ahead of the earthquake and it fits in nicely with his "galactic wave theory"! According to his theory, galactic waves or gamma ray burst can cause crustal shifts and extinction level events or evolutionary leaps in biological beings depending on the intensity of the gamma ray burst. Dr Paul la Violette's theory also corresponds to mass extinctions...."Roughly 251 million years ago, an estimated 70 percent of land plants and animals died, along with 84 percent of ocean organisms—an event known as the end Permian extinction." and this was only one event that Dr la Violette found corresponding ice samples to verify his theory in Antarctica!

I would be willing to bet the bank that the pole shifts have an instigating factor and that factor for those shifts are due to galactic center rays(gamma ray burst) hitting the earth at particular times in history that correspond to pole shifts.

Again, congratulations on all your hard work and dot-connecting!!!! Good job!

Yes the US has been gearing up for a while in this area. seems we are rapidly movingin the biofuel direction to meet our needs. As the PDF points out bio fuel from algae out produces any other biofuel crop by 5 to 1. Nice part about it is that it can be done on land not suitable for farming food crops, thus avoiding adding pressure to the growing demand for food world wide. One aspect that is not working out to well at this point was the carbon trade offs which probably would have made more money for the companies than the biofuels. I hope this does not stall there production plans as this is a very viable, renewable resorce. rken

Nice job on your investigating the biofuels company. i almost missed it. Not sure where it will fit in but I'm sure with all the great minds we have around here and with your gut feeling to do the research it will have relevance.
Thanks for all the hard work. Rken

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
Regard ACO posts. Dim not sure there was much truth to any of ACO's posts but it sure brought out a lot of interesting information. I think we are pretty much on our own here unless another whistle blower comes along. Hopefully one that is credible and speak in code or if they do at least send one of the code so it can be shared with everyone else. Personally I think ACO was 90 percent bunk. But I've been wrong before. rken

Hmmmm ... Duncan from nexus magazine seems to think otherwise .... I issued him a challenge to 'come clean' and spill the beans as he seems to understand what Aco has been trying to say ....

he has even gone so far as to call some of us names and ridicule us as we 'missed' the important info earlier on.....

have not heard from Duncan since I issued the challenge ....but know he reads this thread daily ..... and many have said he is a man of 'integrity'

but know he will be back and we are 'waiting in anticipation'...

perhaps he is on a 'sabatical'? ... or maybe he has flu?

Tell us about your education, Isis. That was a well written paper.

Great paper, indeed, Isis! A++

Thanks TuTu hf

Good job!

wow. that Paul la Violette stuff is amazing for those that have not read his work it is well worth the time as most of his theories have been proven and cast a whole new light on the solar system, earth and its inner workings. Maybe someone has a link to his works that they can post as I'm sure many would enjoy his material. rken

-big snip-

OK now I really have NO clue where this is taking me or even why. If any of you analytical minds want to jump in, please feel free. Meanwhile when I have more time I will continue and if I find anything relevant to your current investigation...I will share then.

Retreating for now! Enjoy the day. hf

it seems that you are onto something there,
those are very interresting leadings that took you along ...

I cant put any more dots then you right now,

maybe off topic, but relates to some of my previous posts today as regards Pharma, Venter and vaccines

snip:
•Is Big Pharma trying to heal us or kill us ? Toronto Sun reports :

The company that released contaminated flu virus material from a plant in Austria confirmed Friday that the experimental product contained live H5N1 avian flu viruses.

And an official of the World Health Organization’s European operation said the body is closely monitoring the investigation into the events that took place at Baxter International’s research facility in Orth-Donau, Austria
