Mysterious whale deaths off Argentina.

[link to english.aljazeera.net]

The water off Argentina has been seeded with iron to encourage algae growth for the purpose of sequestering CO2.

Results have not been encouraging, and is possible that the algae has endangered the whales.

"The argument over whether ocean iron fertilization is a good way to sequester carbon dioxide may be coming to an end. Last month, a group of researchers seeded 300 square kilometers of the southwestern Atlantic Ocean with six metric tons of dissolved iron. Just as researchers hoped, algae bloomed, doubling in biomass within the first two weeks of the fertilization. But then, an unexpected guest showed up: tiny shrimp-like crustaceans that dined on the algae. Therefore, much of the algae — and the carbon dioxide they absorbed — didn’t make it to the deep ocean where scientists had hoped the gas would have been sequestered for hundreds of years.

... the researchers say iron fertilization is probably not an effective way to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

There have been a few posts indicating that some people think that iron is in the Corexit being dispursed in the Gulf of Mexico. We don't know because of BP's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

In case some did not pick up on it, following is from the glp link posted by BHD:

"Their study states that dispersant use on the surface “almost certainly accelerated the microbial consumption of the oil” and left little doubt that the oil consumed by the bacteria reached the zooplankton at the base of the marine food chain, an incredibly important food-source for fish, jellyfish and whales.

According to Terry Hazen, many hydrocarbon-degrading enzymes have iron as a component. He also states “There’s not enough iron to form more of these enzymes, which would degrade the carbon faster.” So then, what would happen if you added iron to the Gulf of Mexico?

The oil-eating bacteria they introduced into the Gulf would be able to eat the oil at an accelerated rate if there were more iron, but typical Gulf water naturally has a very low trace of iron. But according to rainwater tests from Gulf rainclouds, Iron and other elements are being added to the Gulf waters. Perhaps now you can understand that the “dispersant” formula being used also contains elemental nutrients, such as iron, copper, manganese, nickel, and aluminum to enhance and feed the SG bacterium placed into the Gulf to eat up the oil."

Scientists say an entirely separate type of human identified from bones in Siberia co-existed and interbred with our own species.
The ancient humans have been dubbed "Denisovans" after the caves in Siberia where their remains were found.
There is also evidence that this population was widespread in Eurasia.
A study in Nature journal shows that Denisovans co-existed with Neanderthals and interbred with our species - perhaps around 50,000 years ago.
An international group of researchers sequenced a complete genome from one of the ancient hominins (human-like creatures), based on nuclear DNA extracted from a finger bone.
'Sensational' find
According to the researchers, this provides confirmation there were at least four distinct types of human in existence when anatomically modern humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) first left their African homeland....

World Leaders Flock To Afghanistan After Mysterious ‘Time Well’ Discovered

A peculiar report prepared for Prime Minister Putin by Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) circulating in the Kremlin today states that German Chancellor Angela Merkel has become the latest in a growing line of Western leaders to make a ‘surprise’ visit to Afghanistan this month and follows visits by United States President Obama (December 3rd), British Prime Minister David Cameron (December 7th) and French President Nicolas Sarkozy (December 8th).

Only Sarkozy’s trip, this report says, was concealed as he was already in India on a state visit when ‘rushed’ by a US Military aircraft to the Afghan war zone.

WOW HANS !!!!!
hf

SNIP from article:

What caused the sudden rush of these most powerful leaders of the Western World to go to Afghanistan, this report continues, was to directly view the discovery by US Military scientists of what is described as a “Vimāna” entrapped in a “Time Well” that has already caused the “disappearance” of at least 8 American Soldiers trying to remove it from the cave it has been hidden in for the past estimated 5,000 years.

From the ancient accounts found in the Sanskrit epic The Mahabharata, we know that a Vimāna [photo bottom left] measured twelve cubits in circumference, with four strong wheels. Apart from its 'blazing missiles', The Mahabharata records the use of its other deadly weapons that operated via a circular 'reflector'. When switched on, it produced a 'shaft of light' which, when focused on any target, immediately 'consumed it with its power'.

To the “Time Well” encasing the Vimāna, this report continues, it appears to be an electromagnetic radiation-gravity field first postulated by Albert Einstein as the Unified Field Theory and long rumored to be behind the infamous American World War II experiment in teleportation called the Philadelphia Experiment that in 1943, like the events occurring in Afghanistan today, likewise, caused the sudden “disappearance” of US Soldiers.

The seemingly “perpetual” power source to this mysterious “Time Well”, this SVR report says, appears to be based on the technology of Edward Leedskalnin, who claimed to have discovered the “Secret Knowledge of the Ancients”...

Most intriguing of all about this report is its stating that not just any Vimāna has been discovered, but from the ancient writings contained in the cave where it was discovered, it claims that its “rightful owner” is the ancient prophet Zoroaster ...

... the religious philosophy of Zoroaster is credited with being the basis of all known religions that said the purpose of humankind, like that of all other creation, is to sustain aša [truth]. He further stated that for humankind, this occurs through active participation in life and the exercise of constructive thoughts, words and deeds.

Flash mobbing is an international thing

In typical German fashion, a German city has banned them (see below). Might not be a bad idea when you note that... A recent flash mob in a Roseville, Calif. mall led to an emergency evacuation when police felt the building could collapse from the influx of so many people and their singing. The police told people: "You can keep singing, but keep walking."

The city of Braunschweig, Germany has banned flash mobs. In 2009 the Association of German Retailers (HDE) filed a legal complaint in Germany's highest court to ban the use of flash mobs during labor disputes, following a Federal Labor Court of Germany ruling that flash mobs are a legitimate form of industrial action.

Sorry, no link. This was emailed to me from a "non-GLP" friend in Germany.

Encouraging words from Benjamin Fulford.

Winter solstice and lunar eclipse symbolize the end of one era and the beginning of another
Posted by benjamin December 21, 2010

Although the deadlock at the top of the global financial system seems to be never-ending, in reality top players are waiting for a global purge of historical proportions to be completed. The result will be so dramatic that historians will discuss it for millennia. The purges are happening within freemasonry, within the US military and intelligence establishment, within orders of Knights, within the Vatican, in the Yakuza underworld, and even among the royal families of the world to name but a few. Although there were threats of war and of the unleashing of secret super-weapons such as HAARP in the run-up to the winter solstice and the full lunar eclipse, the forces of peace and harmony have emerged victorious. World peace is at hand.

I'm not sure that "You can keep singing, but keep walking." is a good idea. If the singing walkers ever start marching in cadence, the vibrations could bring down a building.

Walking singers will have a tendency to step to the tune, which will naturally initiate a march, or a vibrational beat. Better to let them sing with a little movement.

Already I can imagine new laws "No singing in public."

PLUTO MAY HOST AN OCEAN

"These simulations suggest that Pluto likely possesses an ocean at the present day," Robuchon wrote in a synopsis of his research presented last week at the American Geophysical Union conference in San Francisco.

The idea of an ocean on Pluto may not remain theoretical for long. NASA's New Horizon's space probe is more than halfway through a 10-year journey to Pluto. After traveling more than 3 billion miles, it is scheduled to fly past Pluto and its moons in July 2015.

Scientists don't know what they'll find -- no space probe has ever visited Pluto, which is about 39 times farther from the sun than Earth.

"We are going to an entirely new type of world. Everything is interesting. It's like the first mission to Mars," New Horizons lead scientist Alan Stern, with the Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colo., told Discovery News.

option8, your avatar is totally appropriate in this case. FINCEN, it seems, has been asleep at the wheel for at least a decade...or maybe having protracted martini lunches with Goldman Sachs. They will regain their credibility when they frog march Lloyd Blankfein off to the Big House. Until then, I'd imaging they will be pissing their pants over the fact that the dollar is increasingly rejected as a medium of international trade, or that China is selling off US bonds as fast as they can.
