You could be right. i have not seen any links to Cygnus, but I have not finished the article. Great find thanks for posting it. I just got started and found this gem. This is the first real evidence I have found to support the fact that cosmic rays effect DNA and consciousness. rken

What Caused The “Sudden” Evolutionary Leap in Paleolithic Man?

The relative strength of the cosmic rays striking the earth at various times in the past has been measured by levels of a specific isotope in ice core samples. Interestingly, the highest levels of cosmic rays struck the Earth in ancient times corresponding to periods of sudden leaps in human technology. Finding a wide range of scientific evidence showing that cosmic rays can directly alter human DNA—thus causing mutations—Collins came to suspect that cosmic rays may well have been the source of the leap in human consciousness in Paleolithic times. The idea that cosmic rays can alter DNA is completely accepted in mainstream genetic science. But the assertion that the cosmic rays from Cygnus were responsible for human evolution is a major—and new—proposal. Not surprisingly, other scientists—including some of America’s top astrophysicists—are now asserting the same idea.

The Cygnus Correspondence At Giza

The major thrust of the first (November 2006) article on Giza and Cygnus was an unexpected finding Collins presented in his book. This finding consists of two related parts. First, for over a decade, many people have simply accepted that the three large pyramids at Giza were built to depict the three stars of Orion’s Belt. From that simple proposal, a complicated and all-encompassing theory I term “Orion-everywhere” has been presented by mainly Robert Bauval with support from Hancock and others. I too have been a proponent of Orion.

What Collins found at Giza was not only threatening, but is downright devastating to the Orion theorists. In sum, Collins found that the stars of Cygnus fit almost perfectly onto the Giza Plateau, fitting almost squarely on the apex of the three large pyramids. In addition, placement of the other stars of the Cygnus constellation onto Giza revealed several important sites. The one I am most intrigued with is near a well opening that could be quite important.

regarding Orion vs Cygnus

Some astronomers (including Dr. Archie Roy, Dr. Percy Seymour, Dr. Mary Bruck, Dr. Giulio Magli), however, have rejected Krupp's argument. The correlation, they claim, is a visual one when standing north of the Giza pyramids and looking south. Archie Roy, professor Emeritus of Astronomy at Glasgow University, and Percy Seymour, astronomer and astrophysicist at Plymouth University U.K., have both publicly rejected several of Krupp's arguments, including the accusation that Bauval and Gilbert purposefully inverted the pyramid map. Both Roy and Seymour argue, for several reasons, that the orientation on the ground does not require the map to be "inverted to fit" the sky map in which Roy concludes "The accusation that the maps were placed upside down is therefore unfounded."[8][9][10]
In a ruling by the Broadcasting Standard Commission (UK), the committee ruled in favour of Robert Bauval that the claim that maps were placed upside down was "unfairly" presented in the BBC documentary Atlantis Reborn. Public apologies were made on BBC television and in The Times of London.

Searching for structures in Egypt is fascinating.

I've done it a lot myself using G/E and I am amazed at what is there on or just below the surface. You can follow long walls, and roads thru modern towns and back out in to the desert to other ruins. Many of which dont have names or have seeming significance.

Might have something to do with positioning of these places. I did my best to plot where the known pyramid structures are, and they follow the old Nile. I cant see any significant deliberate layout a side from that, but as the gentleman pointed out, maybe its a bigger picture.

Maybe a large zoom out with all my place marks would show something? A location in the galaxy perhaps?

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
Given that what has happened before and is happening now. All I feel inclined to do is to urge people to deal with there subconscious and conscious belief systems that are ingrained in our culture. For in the future when all our un resolved issues begin surfacing amid the chaos that will ensue it will be quite overwhelming for many. Those that have begun the process of delving into the recesses of what makes them tick will have a much easier time making it through the coming changes alive. Those that can't or won't deal with there own Belief Systems subconscious or other wise, as we are already seeing more and more of today will end up losing it and probably won't be long for this world. But not to worry there is always the next time round. So learn some introspective tools. It is not easy or fun digging through our own emotion pain finding the lies that we have embraced as truth and releasing them, but that is what is required. So better to get a head of the game rather than awaiting the 2x4 between the eyes to get us to move off our positions. rken

Not "woo woo spiritual" but, more clearly, the woodpecker sent out a message after long years of silence, telling something. Then, according to those who listened, played the "Swan Song." Audio was posted on the 'net. Many people who were paying attention felt that the audio was a clear reference to Cygnus.

Most interesting, isn't it true that UVB is old technology which is not expected to be affected by electromagnetism that can kill the new communications technology?

Also, one listener reported that he deciphered Morse Code and translated from Russian, "Third Spy is dead." At that time, the Mi6 spy code expert had been killed in England, there was a spy's dead body found on the coast of the Black Sea(?) and we had a boat with the engines running, aground on a beach in Florida at the height of the oil spill. Perhaps a mis-translation, dunno.

There is other stuff in that thread and if I get the chance will look back over some of it and post highlights.

Obama signs book at Westminster Abbey

24 MAY 2008

Thread: OBAMA signs book 24 MAY 2008
 Quoting:

From date: Saturday, 24 May 2008 (5/24/08)

Added 1111 days

Resulting date: Thursday, 9 June 2011 (6/9/11)

 Quoting:

Others who examined the data, including Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the national laboratories, and defense contractors reached a very different conclusion — that the data supported the conclusion that on 22 September 1979, Vela 6911 had detected a nuclear detonation"

satellite 6911, which carried various sensors that had been designed specifically to detect nuclear explosions. In addition to being able to detect gamma rays, x-rays, and neutrons,
 Quoting:

This satellite was known to have a failed electromagnetic pulse (EMP) sensor, and it had developed a fault (in July 1972) in its recording memory, but that fault had cleared itself by March 1978.

Additionally, early technical speculation also examined the possibility that the Vela had recorded a combination of natural phenomena, such as lightning in conjunction with a meteor strike. Other early news media articles of the time discussed the possibility of a large extraterrestrial object strike, such as an asteroid, occurring. The Vela satellite's flash detectors were sensitive to lightning superbolts, which resulted in two scientists, John Warren and Robert Freyman from the Los Alamos National Laboratory (then called the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory) immediately flying to and investigating a rare, overland superbolt occurrence on Bell Island, Newfoundland in April 1978. Their observations of the event, called the 'Bell Island Boom', noted building structural damage, dead farm animals and destroyed electrical devices amongst other evidence (the superbolt's blast was heard 55 kilometers away in Cape Broyle, Newfoundland). The Bell Island Boom was among some 600 'mystery booms' that occurred along the North American eastern seaboard from late 1977 to mid-1978.

Vela Pulsar

The Vela Pulsar (PSR B0833-45 or PSR J0835-4510) is a radio, optical, X-ray and gamma-emitting pulsar associated with Vela Supernova Remnant, in the constellation of Vela.

Note that this object has often been called Vela X, for reasons that appear historically unclear.

In early 1970, Curtis proposed the presence of a planetary companion to explain certain variations observed in pulsar timing. Such putative object would have a mass of 0.01 Solar masses (i.e 10 times the mass of Jupiter) and be located at 0.3 Astronomical Units from the pulsar. Accounting the age of such article, it's likely this candidate might turn out spurious or at least unconfirmed.

Vela X is a strong radio pulsar source, that is also associated with a very strong 100 MeV gamma-ray source, and the rather weak Uhuru X-ray source 4U 0833-45. It is isolated, and should not be confused with the very different strong accreting, pulsing, eclipsing binary X-ray source Vela X-1, also known as 4U 0900-40, and which is associated with the supergiant star HD 77581.

Both objects are of high intrinsic interest, and extensively studied.

G.Michanovsky (1980) wrote about the probable significance of Vela X in prehistory.

The theory of G. Michanovsky Michanovsky

The researcher George Michanovsky instead takes the moves from a legend (presumably Indo-European) common to the Mediterranean countries and those of the North Sea.

According to this legend a star (Vela X) would move beyond the southern end of the horizon, becoming visible in the northern hemisphere and from this position would dominate the entire sky: it was called the "Star of Atlantis" or "Cross South. " And it also speaks of Amerigo Vespucci as a great desire to be fulfilled: the official iconography of the browser displays it in the act of gazing at a starry sky in which stands the Southern Cross

Michanovsky reminds us that the navigator had explored the mouth of the Amazon used the name of 'river of fire hidden.

Sabatino Moscati, in turn, makes us reflect that:

"If Plato's story, as it is formulated as a whole and must be regarded as a legend, the fact remains that the legend might have historical foundations and concrete that has contributed to its creation that the memory of actual events, even if those events may have been multiple, differing in time and space produced by the imagination. "

Crux - Southern Cross

Crux is sometimes confused with the nearby False Cross by stargazers. Crux is somewhat kite-shaped, and it has a fifth star (ε Crucis). The False Cross is diamond-shaped, somewhat dimmer on average, does not have a fifth star and lacks the two prominent "Pointer Stars."

False Cross - Constellation Vela

The False Cross is an asterism formed of the stars δ Velorum and κ Velorum and ι Carinae and ε Carinae. It is so called because it is sometimes mistaken for the Southern Cross, causing errors in astronavigation.
