Can't imbed, but MUST SEE!

Admiral Allen says that there is a NOAA sonar ship around the Gulf checking for leaks. Also, Admiral Allen is concerned about methane bubbles or hydrocarbons (methane hydrates) leaking from the sea floor.

His last sentence was that if there was an anomaly detected or a breach of the seafloor they would nuke the well!
We know that it is already breached, yikes!

He Said: "Vent the well" not nuke

For the rumor mill:

..

Successful Test of Nuclear EPFCG (to stop the oil gusher)
[snip]
According to sources at the test site, there would be two near simultaneous explosions from the device. The first detonation would be an induced Plasma event made by an ectromagnetic pulse than would generate enough heat to melt the rock and metal, followd by a percussion wave that would briefly neutralize the huge pressure in the well. In a few microseconds thousands and cubic meters of bed rock and metal would be instantly fused together sealing the oil well.

Two, one in each relief well.

Was today that they tested ?

Check EQ data ?

3.8 and 4.2 registered

Found no data from that area suggesting siesmic activity at all. Should have figured as much, huh ?

Couldn't find anything either..

The Alaska EQ perhaps had something to do with this:

Here is a good site for all you buoy watchers. Zoom in on the GOM and it shows the "rim" very well.

How do you nuke holes that are all over the sea bed in geographically diverse areas? If you nuke one area, how do you not crack others, or open other cracks up further?

We need independent eyes down there that can report directly back to we the people. We need this now!

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
Thanks for the interesting information, A/C.

I found this info about a Soviet submarine:

The deepest-diving large, military-style submarine was the Soviet submarine K-278 Komsomolets, with a hull made of titanium, making it very expensive, but able to withstand significantly deeper dives than the best submarines made of high-grade steel, like American nuclear submarines. The Komsomolets was a nuclear powered submarine specially designed to make trips as far down as 1300 meters (4265 feet) below sea level...

Of particular interest is this:

A small submarine, the bathyscape Trieste, made it to 10,916 meters (35,813 feet) below sea level in the deepest point in the ocean, the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench, a few hundred miles east of the Philippines. This part of the ocean is 11,034 m (36,200 ft) deep, so it seems that a submarine can make it as deep as it's theoretically possible to go.

The rest of the article is here:

i think they sent this to the gom

New Russian nuclear submarine will not enter serial production - paper

A fourth-generation Russian nuclear-powered multipurpose attack submarine that was floated out on Tuesday is too expensive for serial production, a business daily said on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in the northern port of Severodvinsk to attend the official float-out ceremony.

The construction of the Severodvinsk, the first Project 885 Yasen (Graney) class submarine, began in 1993 at the Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, but has since been dogged by financial setbacks. Russia planned to float out the submarine on May 7 to mark the 65th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in May 1945.

Russia's Vedomosti daily said the price of the strategic project was kept secret, but the estimated cost reached $1 billion.

Mikhail Barabanov, the editor-in-chief of Moscow Defense Brief magazine, said the submarine's cost was too high to make it viable for serial production.

Barabanov told Vedomosti that the U.S. Navy did not produce a large number of advanced Sea Wolf submarines, similar to the Severodvinsk vessel, since they were too expensive. Instead of these, they use cheaper and unsophisticated Virginia-class submarines.

The expert said the Russian Navy would probably replace the Severodvinsk nuclear submarine with a more affordable analogue. Barabanov said the second Yasen (Graney) class submarine Kazan was the most probable alternative to the Severodvinsk submarine.

Russian experts expect Graney-class submarines to boost the Navy's operational effectiveness and combat capabilities.

Graney-class nuclear submarines are designed to launch a variety of long-range cruise missiles (up to 3,100 miles or 5,000 km), with conventional or nuclear warheads, and effectively engage submarines, surface warships and land-based targets.

The submarine's armament includes 24 cruise missiles and eight torpedo launchers, as well as the mines and anti-ship missiles.

MOSCOW, June 16 (RIA Novosti)

what they dont tell you here is that they already launched the prototype

Interesting image.

The image of thepropeller Has been heavily doctored by censors, so no details can be discerned by the shape. However, a couple of things can be discerned. It is Not a short or long shroud design prop. It is a standard blade design, swept, and probably 8 blades.

Looking elsewhere at a couple of pics for a prop for the older Yuri class submarines, which are 6 blade, tells me this is their try at some advanced tech. Building just the new prop alone probably bankrupted the budjet for the project.

Given the aft section of this ne sub, and the size of the package, the design looks to be about where we were in propeller silence tech about 1990-1995.

The Navy had developed acoustics technology to identify the props That they created at that time.

This one is probably identifiable to the Navy.

I am so suprised that the Russians are still so far behind us in prop design and manufacture. But then again, they don't spend all of their GDP on the military andymore either.

There is a saying that a submarine is divded into two halves. 1 half is the propeller, and then there is the rest..

OP's timeline is falling completely in line (twilight 72). Thread: BREAKING - ABC Radio news @ 9pm et - OIL SEEPAGE CONFIRMED (Page 6) I would expect to see OP show up either later tonight (EST) or by the morning.

My wife cannot even look at this thread anymore and I think she's starting to get scared (DOOM) that its sucked me in. I saw 2012 for the first time last night and when they were talking about the Earth's crust just cracking all I could think was it's the morphing gold eating at it. lol

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1040784

Sure, it could be a magnetic drive system ala' The Hunt For Red October, And that is a dummy prop that is just there for looks. But that is a pretty far fetched thing.

It would still have to have a propeller of some type. Even if the mag drive was through the center of the driveshaft. One thing about mag drives, they will make a BIG magnetic signature around them, screaming out 'Hi there! Here I am!! to any passing helicopter. When you want to run without the Magnetic signature, what do you use?

The energy consumption fo a mag drive is so high, that it could only be used for certain amounts of time. And those monster cryogenically cooled coils would be a BITCH to shield from a Nuclear Magnetic pulse. (almost everything is a sub is hardened to EMP)

If it was only a mag drive you are a sitting duck when being actively hunted.

So, with the drag and noise from a prop dragging through the water with a mag drive running, where is the stealth?

The idea was abandoned a long time ago for US subs.

This Puppy they have there was designed as a very fast, powerful SSBN that could run very silent and run very deep.

Any ship might be expected to have a drop-down accessory prop for silent propulsion.

I was wondering if the Russians has perfected a "hydrogen" engine which could pull the sub through the water by force of water. We've seen the videos of the small prototypes which use water for fuel and I've thought that type engine would make a great boat engine since the craft would be in the water, perhaps requiring only a little battery start-up.

We've got a lot of funded hydrogen cell research happening right now in the US, but I don't read anything about results.

If, and I understand it's a big "if" the Russians have perfected a hydrogen engine, it make not run properly in the GOM Orange Oil Corexit Crush mix.
