Vatican prepares for extraterrestrial disclosure
by admin on Jul.19, 2010, under Breaking News

The Vatican has just completed a five day conference astrobiology where scientists convened to discuss the detection and implications of extraterrestrial life. A major driving force behind the conference was the Director of the Vatican Observatory, the Jesuit priest Father Jose Gabriel Funes. In May 2008, Funes gave an interview to the Vatican’s L’Osservatore Romano newspaper saying that the existence of intelligent extraterrestrials posed no problems to Catholic theology. The conference itself was officially convened by the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, chaired by its religious leader Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, and was held on private Vatican grounds from November 6-10. Together with Funes’ 2008 interview and subsequent public comments by him, the conference demonstrates a welcome openness by the Vatican on the possibility and implications of extraterrestrial life. The Vatican’s openness to discussion of extraterrestrial life is no accident. It is part of an openness policy secretly adopted by the United Nations in February 2008. In fact, the Vatican is playing a leading role in preparing the world for extraterrestrial disclosure.

For most observers, the conference was an innovative scientific gathering sanctioned by the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences to show the Holy See’s support for modern science in the detection of extraterrestrial life. The conference primarily focused on the detection of primitive extraterrestrial life forms, and featured presentations from nearly 30 international experts in astronomy, physics and biology. Marc Kaufman from the Washington Post reports:

Scientists (many of them nonbelievers) are offering presentations on subjects as varied as how life might have begun on Earth; what newly found “extremophile” microbes living in harsh places on our planet might tell us about possible life on others; and how life forms might be dETected in our solar system, or how their bio-signatures might be found on and around the many distant exoplanets.

Discussion of the implications of intelligent extraterrestrial life, both scientific and theological, did not appear prominently in the conference agenda. One of the presenters, however, Prof Paul Davies commented on the religious implications of discovering intelligent extraterrestrial life: “If you look back at the history of Christian debate on this, it divides into two camps. There are those that believe that it is human destiny to bring salvation to the Aliens, and those who believe in multiple incarnations,” Davies pointed out that the multiple incarnations theory, the idea that multiple examples of Jesus Christ would be found in the universe “is a heresy in Catholicism.”

The Vatican, through Funes, is supporting the idea that the incarnation of Christ is a unique event in Earth’s history tied in to humanity’s ‘fall’ and ‘original sin’. This idea was a major focus in Father Funes’ May 2008 interview which was titled “The extraterrestrial is my brother.” Funes said that intelligent extraterrestrial life may not have experienced a ‘fall’, and may be “free from Original Sin … [remaining] in full friendship with their creator.” This makes it possible to regard them as ‘our brothers’ as Funes explained:

Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can’t put limits on God’s creative freedom… “Why can’t we speak of a ‘brother extraterrestrial’? It would still be part of creation…

Most importantly, Funes’ statement makes possible the idea that Christianity can be exported to extraterrestrial worlds that have not experienced a ‘fall’ and are free from original sin.

The Vatican’s new openness on extraterrestrial life is consistent with reports of secret discussions held at the United Nations that began in February 2008. The Vatican’s permanent representative to the UN, Archbishop Celestino Migliore, was reported to have attended along with a number of other prominent government officials to discuss increased UFO sightings and the implications of extraterrestrial visitation. Significantly, Migliore’s position requires that he maintains close relations with the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences. At the time of the secret UN discussions, Migliore made a presentation on moral issues associated with scientific problems such as climate change. Most importantly, the UN discussions reportedly led to a new policy of openness being adopted by approximately 30 nations that would begin in 2009.

Another noteworthy participant reported to have attended the 2008 UN discussions was Britain’s Permanent representative at the time, Sir John Sawers. Sawers was later appointed to head Britain’s prestigious foreign intelligence service MI6. The appointment of a diplomat to head an intelligence service was highly unusual. According to a BBC report: “giving the job to someone more recently associated with diplomatic service was regarded as a break from the tradition.” Seen in the context of the February UN meetings, perhaps MI6 was acknowledging the need for greater diplomacy in dealing with problems posed by a new openness policy on UFOs, and eventual disclosure of extraterrestrial life.

The Vatican sponsored astrobiology conference was a landmark event. It showed that the Vatican was willing to officially sanction public discussions on the existence of extraterrestrial life. More significantly, it showed that the Vatican was willing to initiate a comprehensive dialogue on the theological implications of the discovery of intelligent extraterrestrial life. The Vatican’s astrobiology conference is yet one more sign that major global institutions are preparing for some kind of formal disclosure concerning UFOs and/or extraterrestrial life. This is a direct outcome of a series of landmark meetings at the UN beginning in February 2008 that led to the adoption of a new openness policy.

After more than a year of openness, the Vatican is taking the openness policy to a new level, and preparing the public for some kind of formal extraterrestrial disclosure announcement. Numerous independent sources have predicted such disclosure is imminent, and that the Obama administration is expected to play a prominent role. The Vatican is also positioning itself to play a major role in such an announcement and in a post-disclosure world. Its emerging theological position that extraterrestrials “are our brothers” is a welcome departure from more hostile depictions of extraterrestrial life found in some religious denominations and in Hollywood movies. On the other hand, the idea that the Vatican could justify sending missionaries to convert extraterrestrials born without original sin, does raise major concerns. The Vatican, nevertheless, is currently playing a constructive role in preparing the public for the imminent disclosure of extraterrestrial life.

Thanks, Bevvy! Wouldn't that be something . . . "official" disclosure about the existence of extraterrestial life?

Even though this was an astrobiology conference, maybe Housedad can provide a little insight about this article, since he states that he has a degree in astrophysics. (I would imagine that there is a fair amount of overlap between the two curriculums of astrobiology and astrophysics, not to mention very interesting dialogue amongst professionals in those two fields.)

The Vatican IS the Illuminati!

Wake up folks! Read your BIBLE!!

Matthew 24:1-14
Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

I'm not a bible thumper but I have to tell you that ALL of you need to make sure your house is in order. This is just one small piece of the puzzle that the END IS HERE. The birth pains ARE HERE the rapture IS SOON.

You know when they are gonna claim that there is alien life? The day after the rapture! millions of people and ALL children will be called up to be with Jesus and our WORLD governments and that FALSE promise of the Vatican will claim that we should all just do as our elected officials say to do. Get your RFID chip so we know you are not an alien and you'll be fine.

THAT CHIP IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!

Revelation 13:17
so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

I am terrified about all of this too. We are definitely being lied to about the massive horror that is taking place, but friends PRAISE GOD that we have a savior that will protect us in the storm.

As I said, I'm sorry for the preaching but this was placed on my heart.

The abitlity of the Catholic church to change to new idealogs has been mainly pushed by two forces through history. Money and science. These forces have actually pushed it more separately than in conjunction with each other.

Money is a pressure inside and outside the church. An ongoing battle, and historically, the church has striven to wrest or keep control of it.

Science, however, was something that was easier to control for over a thousand years. If you had any thoughts about the world that conflicted with the churches view, or especially caused a possible loss of money to the church, it was fairly easy to show the people who was in control. Heresy, witchcraft, possession, etc. were all made a death sentance. Accusation was all there was needed to convict and execute as long as it was a thological accusation. Only the Church could ajudicate those issues. (You can now see why Jefferson, Adams, and Franklin were so adamant about the concept of innocent until proven guilty. It was a means of removing theology from the process. Another type of separation of church and state.)

However, the church was unable to stop the renaissance. The gradual accumulation of knowledge, education and science became a flood in uick order. Too many educated people were uestioning things, and too many of those were people who had money. The church had to start adopting the new ideas or it faced becoming superfluous.

This is one of many conferences on new scientific ideas that the church has held over the last 400 years or so. Most records of them were delegated to dusty tombes sitting on old library shelves. But they publicly allowed the church to encompass the new heresies (science) as was needed in order to be able to stay relevant as a theological power.

Face it, Noone today would go near a church that stuck steadfast to the idea that the world was flat, the heavens revolved around the earth, and the stars were the angels of God.

If the followers no longer believe in the dogma, and you no longer have the power of horrible torture or death for punishing heresy, you have to change the dogma or admit utter failure, even if it means accepting Heresy as fact and new belief.

This is just a slightly preemptive conference that starts to allow the concepts of life elsewhere to become part of the new dogma.

One must keep up with the times, even the Catholic Church.

(All this makes you think about the Muslem religeon and the way that it has a tight control on its members. Sharia law is the way that they force their torture and punishment on their peoplee. Control the people, and you control it all. Be very afraid of sharia law. It is like stepping back into 900AD Europe.)

As far as the science discussed at the conference, and UFOlogy, etc., It is mostly a dog and pony show. It allows the Church to 'test the waters' and to get some kind of communication between the church and the scientists involved in those fields.

Exobioloy and Astrophysics are two entertwined fields, but mosty in one direction only. Astrophysics studies and determines the scope, depth and environment of the rest of the universe. Exobiology must operate within the confines of the Universe as the Astrophysicists determine. But, Exobiology is becoming ever larger and complex as more information is uncovered by the astronomers. There are so many areas and discoveries of organic molecules and water beeing found, that it is staggering.

The greatest hope for life now is Mars, and the moons of Jupiter.

Could they be preparing for a imminent reveal of intelligent life aka UFO's and crop circle makers from the stars? Not yet. If that was in the cards, and the church had previous knowledge of it, it would have to change it's dogma slowly, as you see here with this conference.

To change the dogma uicly with a sudden announcement of intelligent life elsewhere, would be tantamount to Church suicide.

Not sure if this has been posted (though I have tried to keep up on this never ending thread!). I found by way of another website a series of BP video's purporting to show... wait for it..... "bugs" that appear to be able to eat through metal, which are also getting larger as time goes by. Seems a rather close fit to our storyline, no???

On youtube proper, there seem to be several of these types of vids allegedly showing the same thing. At first it will seem as if they are simply floating by, but as you watch the cursor will pick out certain spots that *may* be doing what the poster claims. I am interested in seeing other's opinion, as I am already late for work and can't check them all out right now. But it seemed a possibility to closely related not to share.

Thanks for adding this. The guy who did the recording apparently has a much better monitor set-up and can see what's going on with much higher resolution/more accuracy. I found it interesting, and then I wonder how it correlates with the "blob" forming, which almost looks like a hornet's nest. Have they really unleashed something on us? The "blob" seems to have strong magnetic characteristics, as the droplets or whatever they are seem to re-adhere after releasing and floating upward.

Both of these make me think of the GCP sub and the material adhering to the hull.

Both of these make me think of the GCP sub and the material adhering to the hull.

Methane hydrates?

You mention a "blob", where?

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
Whilst we graze and wait, I've got a couple questions. When the DeepWater Horizon was listing, an aerial photo showed a huge elongated, elliptical hole in the helipad. I'm guessing it might have been seven or eight feet wide and sixteen feet long (WAG). I think it looked charred around the edges. Does anyone know what might have done that? I've never seen any discussion of it.
Secondly, while many people are watching BP videos of an oil leak, where might the ships be which dangle the ROV's and cameras? The Macondo well is between DDII and DDIII but I haven't seen any ship above the Macondo site for a long time. When the riser pipe first collapsed, there were four construction ships above the site, dangling two ROV's each. Matt Simmons claims BP is filming another well, apparently just for show, with the implication that it is the Macondo well. The flow is slow and low pressure, but much of the public is pacified to watch and analyze things which they see. Like a magic act, you watch one hand while the trick is happening elsewhere. Anyway, when you look at the ship locations, you might watch for construction ships stationed above the Macondo site, between DDII and DDIII.

The methane hydrates are also adhering, but this other stuff is entirely different. In the first video, the little white blotches are what he calls "bugs" for lack of a better name, and you can see them disappear into the metal. They do not appear to be methane hydrates to me due to their behavior. There are also hydrates floating around at the same time.

Is this stuff just like snow which goes transparent when it hits something solid like snowflakes that disappear into wetness when they hit a heated windshield? This would give the illusion that they are disappearing into the solid objects.

I have a gut feeling about the sub. Pure and simple. It has nothing to do with the faith of those aboard.

This thread appears to be about anything and everything. Why should the Catholic Church be immune from bashing? Nothing else is.
