Okay lets chat a moment about what happened. What the well explosion due to human error, was it on purpose by a human, was it the work of military for hire groups like Xe, Blackwater, DynCorp or Triple Canopy? We will never really know. Since SAIC has full control, they know the answer, but in the end, does it matter? The well exploded. Now the question is why? Destroy big oil and American business and jobs. What will takes it place? Ah hah, glad you asked, algae. Who is behind this? Crime, Inc. which by the way is much bigger than Beck is able to report and for that matter than we can report, but we are gonna try.

British Petroleum, one of the world's largest oil producers. BP has had the most safety violations but why is that? Enter MMS, Minerals Management Service. [link to www.mms.gov] MMS is an Agency of the Department of the Interior. MMS gave many waivers to BP for this DeepWater Horizon rig, not to mention a safety award.

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
just to clear up what is in the UK's submarine fleet.

We have 4 Vanguard class submarines, HMS Vanguard, HMS Victorious, HMS Vigilant and HMS Vengeance; these are our nuclear deterrent boats and are at several days notice to deploy their Trident missiles.

We have 6 Trafalgar class submarines; HMS Turbulent, HMS Tireless, HMS Torbay, HMS Trenchant, HMS Talent and HMS Triumph. These boats are armed with tomahawk cruise missiles. HMS Trafalgar was decomissioned last year, Turbulent will be decomissioned next year and the others will eventually be decomissioned at 2 year intervals after that.

We have 1 Swiftsure class submarine left, HMS Sceptre is due to be decomissioned later this year. All remaining Swiftsure boats are awaiting disposal after decomissioning.

We now have 1 Astute class submarine in service. HMS Astute was comissioned on Friday 27 August 2010 at Faslane. 3 other Astute class submarines will come into service over the next few years, they are HMS Ambush, HMS Artful and HMS Audacious, though they can't use the HMS prefix until they are comissioned.

So if it all kicked off today and the UK went to war, we could call upon 4 nuclear subs and 8 conventional subs.

By the way, as you know, warships maximum speeds are classifed information, but HMS Astute can reputedly go at 29 knots underwater and stay underwater indefinitely, so it can probably do over 700 miles in a day.

Information unashamedly lifted from "British Warships & Auxiliaries" a booklet published every year by Maritime Books in Liskeard, Cornwall, England.

This guy is playing all of you...

He is neither illiterate nor dyslexic...

He is obviously educated and knows exactly what he is writing...

Don't be fooled by the misspelled words he is hiding what he says from eyes that might make a connection...

Check his previous post too many mistakes...

For instance "buoy" would not be "boys" he has to read his word even after written...

Phonetically at the worse spelling it would be "booee" or even "buee"...If you write "boys" your mind would tell you it was wrong...

Remember he reads pretty fast and always replies to others, and in a timely manner...

check his writings for yourself... If American English is your first language you will see what I mean...

Just my 2 cents...

Thanks

P.S. No offense ej...but of course you know that...

mmmmmmmm, ej

Thanks for the posts which are reminders of what has been covered earlier in this thread. You only remind us of questions we don't have answers for.

Here is what I want:

First, a solution for protection of fresh water, humans, animals and habitat which have not yet been detrimentally affected,

Second, a solution to ease the burden of the negative effects of the oil spill, Corexit, radioactive elements, and whatever else is in the Gulf of Mexico,

Third, investigation into the spill, charges made against individuals involved, including the corporations to be held accountable for actions and/or area of responsibility and they must pay for,

Fourth, clean up the mess and restore the Gulf.

Then, we can talk about algae farms and bio-fuels. The way I see it, is that technology is changing so fast that by the time the criminals got the algae up and growing there will be a form of magnetic energy, cheaper and cleaner, available for our use. If we let the criminals slide on this one, they will hold us to the algae and not allow cheaper, cleaner forms of fuel.

China to stage 4-day naval drill in September

Beijing: The Chinese Naval Fleet will hold live-ammunition naval exercise in the Yellow Sea in the beginning of September, the Chinese Defense Ministry announced on Sunday in a statement.

The drill will be staged this week from September 1 to September 4 in the sea between China and the Korean peninsula and will come ahead of a parallel U.S.-South Korean joint naval exercise.

"The oncoming scheduled rehearsal will be held in accordance with the annual plan in a region, where exercises of the People's Liberation Army [of China] are traditional," the statement said.

The exercise is aimed at training naval artillery's skills, the ministry's statement said.

The Chinese military exercise will be held off the Chinese coastal city of Qingdao, Beijing said. This way, the drill will be well away from the U.S.-South Korean naval exercise, which will be staged off the west coast of the Korean peninsula.

International coast guard drills to be held in Sea of Japan

VLADIVOSTOK, August 24 (RIA Novosti)
Russian, Chinese and South Korean coast guards will hold joint anti-piracy and anti-terrorism drills in the Sea of Japan on Tuesday, a Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) border guard spokeswoman has said.
The exercises will take place in the Peter the Great Gulf as part of a week-long international border guard forum, which opened in the Russian Far Eastern city of Vladivostok on Monday. The forum brings together border guard delegations from Russia, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and China.
One Russian, one South Korean and two Chinese ships will take part in the exercises, Natalia Rondaleva said.
"During Tuesday's drills, Russian, Chinese and South Korean coast guard ships will carry out dozens of exercises stipulated in the drills' legend," she said.
U.S. and Japanese ships are also expected to take part in the forthcoming exercises, she added.

Russian, German scientists discover rich fauna under Sea of Japan

VLADIVOSTOK, August 24 (RIA Novosti)
A joint Russian-German expedition has discovered a rich fauna deep under the Sea of Japan, overturning previous scientific beliefs, a representative of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Sea Biology Institute said.
The expedition, the first attempt to study the deep-water fauna off the coast of Russia's Primorye Territory in 60 years, involves 22 Russian and 9 German scientists. It began in the Sea of Japan on August 13, with research being conducted at a depth of 500 to 3,500 meters (1,640 - 11,500 feet).
"The scientists reported to us the preliminary results of their research. The first and the main thing they paid attention to was a rich fauna in the depths of the Sea of Japan, which the scientists managed to see for the first time with the help of underwater shooting," the expert said.
The discovery is important because many of the fauna species found in the Sea of Japan can be used to produce medicine, he said.
Earlier, scientists believed there were only a few animal species living deep under the Sea of Japan, the expert said, adding that the size of most of the newly discovered inhabitants of the sea does not exceed 1 centimeter (0.03 feet).

Report on unknown microorganisms found in Baikal due in September

IRKUTSK, August 13 (RIA Novosti)
Siberian scientists will make in September a report on previously unknown microbial colonies, found in Lake Baikal earlier this week, the Fund for the Protection of Lake Baikal said on Friday.
The finding is thought to be methane-consuming bacteria living in a previously unknown type of a colonial organism, but final conclusions are yet to be drawn. Scientists are now studying DNA samples they extracted from the bacteria.
Siberian scientist Mikhail Grachev, who heads the university which studies the bacteria, has earlier praised the finding as "the most important discovery" made by the Mir mini subs in the Baikal so far.
"We suspect it being a new, previously unknown form of life. It represents balls some 1-3 cm in diameter stuffed with defunct organic compounds. Most likely, these are previously unknown microbial colonies," he said.
The underwater expedition of Lake Baikal started in 2008. This summer, researchers searched for new species of flora and fauna, and dove down more than a mile (1.6 kilometers) to the deepest point of the lake, near Olkhon Island.
The mini-subs worked in the southern part of the lake, and in August 2009 the expedition moved to Baikal's north, where gas hydrates, crystalline solids, and large amounts of methane are trapped within a cage of water molecules, were found.
The total cost of the expedition is $8 million, with one dive worth 2 million rubles ($64,800).

Russia's mini-subs 'did not help out' at BP oil spill

MOSCOW, July 13 (RIA Novosti)

A Russian oceanographer denied media reports on Tuesday that Mir deep submersibles had plunged deep into the Gulf of Mexico to determine the circumstances of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
"This is complete nonsense. We haven't been there. The Mir [mini-subs] have been working at Lake Baikal for three years, where a scientific expedition is under way," Anatoly Sagalevich told RIA Novosti.
In June and July U.S. and Mexican media discussed Sagalevich's alleged secret report to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin about the ecological catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico caused by the April 22 oil spill.
According to media reports, Sagalevich and his colleagues allegedly dived into the Gulf of Mexico immediately after the accident and claimed that the only way to contain the spill was by the use of nuclear weapons.
Russia's Mir-1 and Mir-2 self-propelled deep submersibles are currently involved in the third stage of explorations of the world's deepest freshwater lake, Lake Baikal, in Siberia. The expedition will run until September 5.

Ugh!
This weekend Russia announced it plans to continue sales of the P-800 Yakhont supersonic cruise missiles to Syria. These are nasty babies to detect and intercept.

Also, Russia plans to upgrade a naval base site near Syria's Mediterranean port of Tartus so that it can accommodate heavy warships after 2012.

(lots of interesting news out of Russia this week)

i found this one more interesting (reading between the lines in reference to this thread)

Putin slams West for deceiving Russia

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has accused western countries of using unfair political methods including deceit and breaking promises to obstruct the process of "resetting" relations between Russia and the West.

In an interview in Kommersant daily, Putin said his speech at the 2007 Munich Security Conference, which several western politicians considered a declaration of reviving the Cold War, was still relevant, as many western countries are unfair in their dealings with Russia.

"At time of the withdrawal from East Europe, the NATO secretary general promised the USSR it could be confident that NATO would not expand over its current boundaries," Putin said.

"And where is it? I asked them [NATO officials] about this. They have nothing to say. They deceived us in the rudest way."

Russia-U.S. relations face a lot of problems, Putin said. "We had just come to terms that there would be no missiles [NATO missile defense systems] in Poland...but it was suddenly announced that the same [missile defense system deployment] was planned for other European countries."

Oh, yes. I like this question. We've seen posts about "factions" of the Crown, and I guess that means "Her Majesty."

We know we have "factions" of government in the USA, outside of regular political parties, but I know very little about the UK government.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 969968

"Crown", "Her Majesty's Government", "Realm", "Whitehall", and other terms like that all mean the same thing, the entity that runs the UK. The Queen is the Head of State, she formally sanctions everything that happens, but in practice it is the civil servants, the politicians, the armed forces and so on who run the country on a day to day basis.

If the politicians want to pass a law, first they debate it amongst themselves in the House of Commons, where all the members are elected by the common man on the street. The bill is then passed onto the House of Lords, who are an unelected body of politicans, but generally retired former Members of the House of commons as well as former generals, admirals, bishops, dukes, etc plus any other people given a life peerage. The Lords will cast their experienced eye over the bill, correct any spelling mistakes etc then pass it back to the House of Commons who will debate it again, vote on it and if it passed, it will go to Royal Ascent. this means the Queen has to sign the bill saying it is now law. This is how it works here, everyone else does the all the drafting and debating then the Queen gives her seal of approval, she won't get involved in the day to day nitty gritty.

Everything is done in her name, all government property is Crown property, everything from Job centres to Naval dockyards is crown property. Whenever you see "HM", "HM Government", "Royal" and other words like that, it means the UK Government. It's all one and the same.

Yes, there are factions within the Government, you have Labour and Conservatives at one level; at another you have the Army against the Royal Navy or the Army agianst the Royal Air Force or the Navy against the RAF; then you have MI5 against MI6, or the Foreign Office against the Ministry of Defence; or the Police against MI5 and MI6; Oxford against Cambridge; Eton against Harrow, socialists against fascists and so on.

where does the Gulf of Mexico fit in with all this, i've no idea, it's not necessarily which faction does BP belong to, more which faction do the people running BP belong to. I would guess their faction is the City of London, if that is correct, then what is going on in the GoM is probably just good old fashioned greed, just like the Falklands. And the crown will turn a blind eye where possible, because if BP makes a lot of money out what ever it is down there, that means more money pouring into Crown coffers. Lovely Jubbly.
