A few years ago, ABC TV (Australia) had an article on a researcher in Perth, W.A., who had been given some core samples from (I think) some North Rankin holes. On looking at these rock samples under an electron microscope, she saw what looked like organic signs. On extracting the 'bugs', it was found there were several types, and they had 4 distinct states, from well sub-virus in size up to large bacterial, and they could morph between these states. I think the researcher was at Curtin University..... As for the nuke option, maybe we should remember Michael Crighton's 'Andromeda Strain', a bug that thrived on nuke and heat - the only way to control it was to cut off all energy to it..... I have also had a few friends in various sources, including the armed forces, and some of the tales they have told me indicate that the various published 'facts' are not always correct, * like most subs and ships able to go much faster than listed, * like an OZ sub almost sunk whilst in a river to our north (sank soon after), * crayfish shell 4" (100mm) thick from a deep sea sample, * echo sounder going off the scale at 40,000 foot depth, * water from an artesian bore in outback New SOuth Wales had leaves in it from a tree in a remote valley in New Guinea that were 500 years old, and many more..... keep the interest going...... . [link to www.zambianews.net] Mystery force in space baffles NASA A force in space is hindering the journey of a NASA spacecraft. Scientists have been baffled by a mysterious phenomenon that has prevented the craft from moving further into outer space. Described as a force that defies all laws of nature, they have said gravity laws may eventually need to be changed. Defying all previously-known theories about the universe, the strange force that gently pushes spacecraft away from outer space was discovered last year when the spacecraft Pioneer 10 was stopped in its path by the unknown phenomenon. Researchers for NASA have said the force could be a totally new phenomenon that does not fall under familiar titles such as gravity or electromagnetic power. A tangible scientific explanation has not been put forward for the fact that the Pioneer 10 left the solar system to start its voyage in a space where there is no solar radiation or planets to attract it toward their orbits. ~snip Last Edited by Tex Tamale on 09/24/2010 08:16 AM "The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.." Some large mining companies are doing some scary stuff polluting this country that has very little enviro safeguards. these pollutants could get into the ground water and end up destroying even more than the local artesian water.Gold mining use alot of cyanide and this in tailings(often flushed down rivers) initially depletes oxegen that kills most life. Cn breaks down under uv and is diluted of coarse. but whats almost more worrying is how Cn acts as a solvent and dissolves minerals into solution (hence its importance to gold extraction) minerals like copper, arsnic, heavy metals etc. when these elements combine they make some seriously nasty stuff.copper-arsenic CuAs is the deadly greenstuff used to treat timber. it could be coming to a well near you. |
