What got me to USA was my employer, Daimler-Benz bought out some American Automotive firm that was big into racing. My job was Quality Supervisor...at Chrysler. I don't even want to think about it. At least when I was in Russia they had an excuse, each worker drank several quarts of vodka every day, and I was too busy freezing my ass off to worry about anything else. Chrysler? Quality? I don't even want to think about it. I moved North to Boeing.

The Sun is nearing Saturn and Saturn is nearing a square to the Nodes of the Moon on the Galactic axis of the Milky Way - woe is me! This means that the next days but especially between 30th and 1st October could produce some disasters again, as at that time the Moon will again oppose the Galactic Centre too as it did by the New Zealand Earthquake on 3rd (4th LMT) September, and as it did by the Tsunami in 2004!

Sorry, no and most of the Boeing work is contracted. GE Turbines in Greenville is a major contractor subbing work.

A small local startup has bought CNCs from some of the plant closings and they do small-scale tool and die, but no design. I asked about that and they said they work from the customer's drawings. Don't know if they are missing business by not doing design in-house. If interested in the contact, please post a mail address and will forward contact info.
