Our pool guy has been complaining about all the money he's had to spend on chemicals to combat an algae epidemic here in South West Florida. He said all the pools were loaded with
hydrates.


If it's landing in the pools, then it's landing on everything else too: people, plants, animals.

Why would the pools be loaded with hydrates, would they go up and then come back down....??? a frightful thought...everything being covered in hydrates...what a mess..

Good day, DED traffic was very quiet and silent last night. i will be back at girlfriends office after duty. She phoned me this morning and told me this is important, you need to know that the US has increased airspace restrictions to 12000 above affected areas.
(I'm not sure if she meant feet or meters, i think feet, i will ask her when i see her)

Project Description
The work to be conducted under this agreement is to continue technological development aimed at the establishment of a monitoring station/sea-floor observatory (MS/SFO) to monitor and investigate the hydrocarbon system within the hydrate stability zone (HSZ) of the northern Gulf of Mexico. The intention of this and past efforts is to consolidate research effort and to equip the MS/SFO with a variety of sensors that will enable the determination of a steady-state description of physical, chemical and thermal conditions in its local environment as well as to detect temporal changes of those conditions. Objectives for work under this agreement include deployment, installation, and testing of sensor and support systems critical to the successful operation of the gas hydrates MS/SFO in MC118.

From an industry perspective: Fire in Ice...the race for utilizing hydrates as an energy source is on. A little somethin' I found a couple of weeks ago from a New Zealand source....
