I just joined up here because of this thread and have been addicted since last Sunday. Regardless of the title we have certainly learned a lot about what may be going on in the GoM.

I had a thought on the flight restrictions over the gulf when I saw that a plane went down near destin fl.

I would assume that much like the volcano in iceland, with all of the gasses rising from the gulf the flight restrictions were put in place to avoid crashes. Not sure tho how badly gasses are effecting the western portion of Florida.

Didn't someone post that there was an abundance of algae growing in swimming pools there?

Slightly concerned as we are supposed to go visit my grandfather in central Fl next week. I will be talking to him at some point this weekend mostly about getting him ready to head north lol.
