Thanks for the link whoever posted this, I believe this is the smoking gun, so to speak. All I can say is wow. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 998413[link to www.springerlink.com] Wow, indeed. I tried to get some cipro recently... Strangely, the only place I could find any, it was more than double the usual price. People in the "know" stocking up? "Being Gram-negative bacteria, most Pseudomonas spp. are naturally resistant to penicillin and the majority of related beta-lactam antibiotics, but a number are sensitive to piperacillin, imipenem, ticarcillin, tobramycin, or ciprofloxacin.[13] This ability to thrive in harsh conditions is a result of their hardy cell wall that contains porins. Their resistance to most antibiotics is attributed to efflux pumps which pump out some antibiotics before the antibiotics are able to act. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a highly relevant opportunistic pathogen. One of the most worrying characteristics of P. aeruginosa is its low antibiotic susceptibility. This low susceptibility is attributable to a concerted action of multidrug efflux pumps with chromosomally-encoded antibiotic resistance genes (e.g. mexAB-oprM, mexXY etc [14]) and the low permeability of the bacterial cellular envelopes. Besides intrinsic resistance, P. aeruginosa easily develop acquired resistance either by mutation in chromosomally-encoded genes, or by the horizontal gene transfer of antibiotic resistance determinants. Development of multidrug resistance by P. aeruginosa isolates requires several different genetic events that include acquisition of different mutations and/or horizontal transfer of antibiotic resistance genes. Hypermutation favours the selection of mutation-driven antibiotic resistance in P. aeruginosa strains producing chronic infections, whereas the clustering of several different antibiotic resistance genes in integrons favours the concerted acquisition of antibiotic resistance determinants. Some recent studies have shown that phenotypic resistance associated to biofilm formation or to the emergence of small-colony-variants may be important in the response of P. aeruginosa populations to antibiotic treatment.[3]" Yes that is also what I read yesterday and what my posting was about. Scary things ... nasty critters ... |

(* and yes I personaly believe that most of the crops are from non-terrestial sources and technology use) Hello Krispy, have been having trouble with the internet since I joined GLP, everything slow/freezing and throwing me out???? Friends are having same on facebook, especially the crop circle/ufo/ conspiracy friends...Hmmmmm, any way. Today I kept thinking as someone, maybe you, posted earlier that we all have something to add to this think tank, I was wondering why I was here, not a great science mind! lol Then I kept thinking about the crop circles... Also the crystals..... I have been reading Gem Elixirs and Vibrational Healing by Gurudas and these books are amazing. Most of the information is channelled by Kevin Ryerson (most know him from Shirley Mclean, Out on a limb), Kevin channels John, most say he is John the Apostle....The information about crystals is full on and covers uses for these crystals from Atlantis and Lemuria. He also says that we resonate with crystals so much because they in a sense are our ancestors, evolution wise... What struck me is that he covers curing/releiving miasms, including petrochemical, heavy metal, and radiation. In the second volume it gets a bit more esoteric and discusses new physisc and gemstones. I think something here, just don't know what yet...TBA I am on facebook, as seen by others in my earlier gaff!, and belong to a group caled 'report a crop circle formation' there are a few thousand people in group and some are real science buffs. I will do some research... |

[link to twistedphysics.typepad.com] nanoparticles and microparticles making things slippery "My last post focused on G-Oil, a new motor oil that uses beef tallow as a base, thus decreasing America's dependence on foreign energy sources. One thing I didn't address in that blog is the role of nanotechnology in oils -- which is because I had to learn some things first. The G-Oil website has a section on nanoparticles, mostly focusing on the fact that the surface area to volume ratio of a nanoparticle is quite large. This is true, but it doesn't tell you why that has anything to do with making oil perform better. The words "NANO GEODESIC BEARINGS" attracted my interest not just because they were in all caps, but because anytime you hear 'nano' and 'geodesic' together, you have to think buckyballs, those carbon structures resembling soccer balls that spent way too much time in the dryer and shrunk to about a nanometer in diameter." |
