This is so weird that this was posted (I must have missed it earlier) because I was JUST reading about spontaneous DNA on the Russian Space Station. Another scientist supposedly discovered complex DNA organisms by putting intense heat on silica sand in a vacuum. What is sand? CRYSTAL!!!

And I agree with everyone. We all stumbled here for a reason. If nothing else, from this thread I have awakened .......
I have never EVER been able to wear a watch. Is this similar? Just an oddity I have noticed over the years. Even broke down and bought an expensive watch because I thought that it was just because I had cheap crap that broke (didn't 'break', just always stopped working and nothing could get it going. even a windup watch would lag and lag until it was useless because it wasn't the right time) and within a week or so, it stopped too. I wonder if this magnetic field thing is the reason?
Does anyone else who has come to this thread had issues like this? Just curious now.

My family makes a joke of not letting me around their electrical appliances, and do not "allow" me to mess with their electronics. The electrical charge, or whatever, is not consistent with me, but number of appliances have blown up when I was around and "I didn't touch it!" Also, about the silica (perhaps irrelevant) when cooking at a niece's home during a holiday, I took a casserole out of the oven and placed in on a hot pad on the counter, turned my back to attend to other chores and it BLEW UP like a bomb had gone off. Everyone came running to the kitchen and the family ate out after we got the shards of glass out of everything, including my hair. Later someone said that glass cookware imported from China has the wrong kind of silica in it.
