BTW,
Just because they are putting a cap on this thing doesn't mean that it is over.
No one said what the cap had in it and for all we know it has explosives in it.

That said, the pressure at the wellhead is supposed to be 40/50,000psi. If that is true, and there are some experts who say that it is true, and that the choke device won't, cannot, hold this amount of pressure. However, if the floor of the Gulf is fractured, then the choke device might hold.. because all of the pressure will back flow down through the Gulf floor and find an outlet elsewhere.
