The U.S. federal government began evacuating oil spill cleanup vessels from the Macondo well Thursday in advance of a storm hitting the Gulf of Mexico region.

DEVELOPING: Specialized boats were being moved out of the path of a tropical storm system currently over the Bahamas "to ensure that oil recovery operations can resume as soon as possible after a storm," according to a statement from the Obama administration's command center in New Orleans.

Plus, we are greatly concerned with two wells in the GOM.

We have learned that as a normal procedure oil companies apply for and the US government approves requests to "drill and temporarily abandon well locations."


I read the date 10 march 2009 United states government memorandum:

"It has been deemed submitted as of this date and is under review for approval" and the exact wording is:

"Drill and temporarily abandon well location
"A" : 04/15/2009 - 07/24/2009 - 100 days
Drill and temporarily abandon well location
"B" : 04/15/2010 - 07/24/2010 - 100 days"

The plans were already there back in 2009 for BP to drill and temporarily abandon two wells, "A" and "B" which are the center of attention of the crisis in the GOM

Are the two "thingies" due East of Charleston SC two deepwater wells which have been drilled and temporarily abandoned with BOP caps?

Well ..... are they? Someone knows what they are.


Certain members of congress having been pushing for the Carolinas to allow drilling for oil off the coast. Little has been heard about this since the first of the year.

Did an oil company drill under the Bush administration and now find that they are having to back up and complete paperwork?

Or, did the confounding tsunami buoy, which regularly rings its alarm bell, cause the oil company a continued abandonment?

Oh, WOW! The state's political climate is already so wild few people outside the state can comprehend what is going on.

Good day, I just want you to know that at 01:18 this morning paris time 2us reported that they Observed around 88 dead on an abandoned cuban registered surface vessel. (my girlfriend think most may be cuban refugees, but I'm not sure) 2us captain reported monitoring a chinese vessel giving "limited" assistance to a US surface vessel who was towing and evacuating the cuban vessel. the US surface Vessel was NOT from the US Coast Guard but they followed high level bio quarantine procedure (translation problem)

I have never met him though I have talked to him by phone.THERE WAS NO NEED TO USE CODE.I think that was just to keep the scent from leading to him.The vessel from which he was obtaining his info has left the Gulf. He has since posted under another name.

I can vouche for the info. It is at least what he received.
