Maybe its time for this thread to die. I've been here since the beginning and although all the ac's have posted some remarkable, educational and eye opening posts, the OP really hasn't gone anywhere new for awhile and things seem to be going in circles. I wish someone like Krispy, HouseDad, Renagade, would start a new thread so we can all gather with our thoughts and ideas without being influenced by an OP that doesn't come out all the way and just keeps us guessing.

MY 2 cents.

I have expected this thread to die several times. Every time I think it is about to die, something new comes up! Eventually it will fade away.
It looks like the big storm is going to miss the gulf.
At this point I am grateful for as much as I have learned. This thread has really opened my eyes. This is also the first thread I have followed to this extent.
Much of what I saw in the past were topics like "I have just been boned by an alien unicorn...Ask me a question." I tend to avoid such topics.

Sometimes it is the unpinned threads that have the most interesting information on this board. There are a lot of very intelligent, insightful people who post here, but you do have to sift through a lot of the "boned by an alien unicorn" and "ask me a question" threads... as well as posts by people who just want to stir up trouble, too. Good threads often become derailed by that type of posters, and I am certain that it is purposeful at times.

But yes, there is a lot of good information to be had here, that simply isn't available on any other forum I have found.

And there's also a lot of wild speculation based on the flimsiest of evidence. I would have liked for the OP to have told us what the other 20% of the threat was as well as what he meant by the "rim", both pieces of information that he said he would tell us. I'm disappointed, but *shrug* it's GLP.

Seriously, what was the warning? Did you get a warning from GLP (maybe about posting links to Reuters articles?)? Not to post here? That we are all being played? WHAT??!!

I would like to know, too, what the referenced email said. I do like Hans' answer.. lol.

It is always a task to sort through and discern the real information from the bs, but that is also half the fun of it. And sometimes, the answer remains a mystery...

I have no idea what to think about the OP of this thread, but a lot of interesting links have been posted along the way, and that has kept me reading.

Yes....several EQ,s here and weather svc said only light scattered thunderstorms, but all of a sudden Manila is getting hammered with non-stop rain thunder.....

Maybe to keep things locked down at the large US base there?

Was the warning about the posts that were deleted from this thread? I am curious what was removed myself.

i haven't noticed any, but haven't done a total re-read either. the first 'page drop' could have been from the ads being removed by google with the attributor hassle.

other than that, maybe someone edited their post(s)?

Did a google search for a specific post on this thread and it came up pg 274. When I went to 274, the post was not there. It was on 273. I think what happens is when posters edit their posts, it shifts everything back some... don't know about any posts that were deleted.

Yeah, what happened to our OP?

probably watching the last day of the Tour de France.

When I noticed... it was about 3/4 of a page worth of postings. Granted some may have edited their posts to be shorter, plus the removal of ads on pages would probably take some vertical space as well.

Just seemed like quite a drop at one time, and that was what was noticed.

Probably just the conspiracy nut in me hehe
