stands to reason if the British Government had a secret COBRA meeting the other day and word is getting out that something is brewing in or near the Falklands. I doubt it's the Argentinians getting uppity, but OP suggested it was similar to what is going on the Gulf of Mexico, so that tells me (i maybe wrong), that the deep sea drilling to the north of the Falklands has hit some unexpected problem. Maybe Acolyte (being from South Africa) may have heard something on his grapevines.
