EJ - IF you had bothered to do some reading, you will have seen that several times over the last few weeks, the OP appears to have had his gf's laptop/computer in front of him, and was able to relay almost real-time DED chatter about vessel activity in the GoM. Other times he seems to have only been able to read transcripts or logs of chatter going back a day or so - and has relayed his remembrance of the combined chatter to this thread. That is why sometimes the OP posts are like what you read in Nexus, and other times they are like his more recent ones.

And again, if you had read the full thread you would have seen that there have been confirmations of enough things to keep many of us curious for more.

ej, Thanks for your comments, which are an accurate reflection of the content of posts. THe DED traffic info has not been available to us since the Nexus article.

We have several upgraded posters working the thread. Their upgrade allows edits to content on their posts and/or deletions. When reading we don't always get to pickup on the timelime.

Kri-spy appears to be bi/multi-lingual translerating the thread for homeboys. A lot from that poster makes no sense and the poster may have a language issue.

In order to gain better sense of the activity in the GOM, it is necessary to take posts from this thread and sift through other threads on this site, and other boards, plus make personal contacts with varying offices and agencies to get confirmation.

Based on comments from contacts, people, including those in semi-official position, are confused. Standard procedures are apparently being disregarded.

As stated a day or two ago, all hell appears to have broken loose and no one knows what to do. I have not been able to confirm any evacuations, nor callups for FEMA workers or emergency personnel.

Don't recall that OP ever came back and explained the outcome of the meeting, only suggesting to us that gf was reluctant.
