Experience with politics leads me to read what is not said, rather than relying solely on statements made. I stand by my statement that we never received an explanation of the outcome of the meeting. That the AFP issue is dead has little to do with the consenus from the meeting regarding publication of the story of events in the GOM. OP's statement, "The AFP issue is dead." means that 'we're not gonna talk 'bout that anymore.'

I'm elderly now, and have been very saddened at the dumbing down of recent generations. I think LITERACY is a foundation of civilization, without which we have no standards. A couple centuries ago, kids graduated from elementary school with some knowledge of Greek and Latin and pretty good acquaintance with the classics of literature. In elementary school I learned to diagram sentences, and even the weakest minds knew when capital letters were the proper protocol. It seems that this EJ is flashing in our faces the conspicuous evidence of society's decline. It's depressing.

If you were in/near a disaster area and officials called a special three-day alert and did not tell you what the alert was for, would you have concerns?

Whitebeard, you are missing the key piece of information about him - he is severely dyslexic. My husband, who is 62, is also severely dyslexic as is his son, now 40. My husband just learned to read in the past five years - before he couldn't read a roadsign or write a check. It has nothing to do with IQ or education, unless they get special tutoring...then they can learn to read. But spelling remains a permanent challenge, as they can only spell phonetically (what it sounds like). This poster spells phonetically. If you read what he writes and listen to the "sound" of his spelling rather than the visual input, he conveys very clearly what he is trying to communicate.

It is a brain difference, not an educational or attitudinal difference. BTW, 80% of all incarcerated males are dyslexic and can't read functionally - and 1 in 5 males are dyslexic to one degree or another. We have a foundation that sponsors special tutoring for dyslexic youth who are incarcerated, so they can learn to read and have a decent chance at life once released. Enough said.

I sincerely thank you for that explanation. I did not know the symptoms of dyslexia. I can truly feel sympathy for such a handicap, and a gratefulness that I'm not confronted with such a barrier. Thank you for speaking up.

This makes sense, and if this is so, then we have at least two options for control:

1) refreeze the organism,

2) de-magnetize the GOM water.

Hopefully, GOM waters is as far as the organism has developed.

The three-day IAP for Bay County FL includes cleaning the boats before they come in, cleaning stations at shore and only allowing boats to come in when the tide is going out. (I think that's the way it read, but not familiar with everything being stated.) Maps in the IAP show location of cleaning stations including one off-shore.

I didn't read where it said what they were cleaning, like we're supposed to assume that it's oil and Corexit. Could be they are cleaning off "bugs."

I have been with this thread from the beginning. I am and have been to the best of my ability tried to have truth as my standard. I neglected to post in the beginning of the thread as I have noticed in my long time here that my posts seem to kill threads.
When I first posted here I would say as to the oil, and the white flecks within, the flecks were similar to fish only they seemed intelligent. Someone pointed out I had made a mistake, but what the hell I have made loads of them, I regards mistakes as a learning curve.
I have since posted some thoughts on the OP, of which I am still unsure. I have also posted as to some of the better minds here and how I believed you were wrong to use this forum as a transfer point to private PMs. My thinking here is, if this is a forum for debate, then this is the point of reference. I do understand the issues as to security as there are spooks in all walks of life. That being said, if I find something of value to the thread I will post it with honesty, on this I also notice while there is little feed-back to my posts I notice it is picked up on, but usually without reference to my post.
A further notice I have is the lack of the input by the main posters of the forum as a whole. I also notice the lack of piss-takers in general as this site is full of them, and I have done my share of this.
Now I notice there is a jockeying as to people not being here a long time or with lack of education. Well for my thinking this later poster with what he calls dyslexia, so what if he has. You should also be aware he is the only poster who would the most difficult to trawl. There is civility and decorum on all walks of life and I for one enjoy ejs posting. For me he appears honest, and if he is a cad, well what the hell, we all deserve our place in the choir.
As a footnote to this further tangent of mine. I remember eons ago when we had fools in our community they would be regarded as soft thinkers, but when you knew those of soft thought, they were anything but fools.
