Yes, I'm with you. In my quiet reflection of the big picture, I think stresses begin to get expressed after a time which seems so endless in which we get no relief from our frustrations. Answers to serious life/death questions just aren't coming. The world is crashing and we know it but feel powerless to do much. I expect that the plague of short tempers will become epidemic as the situation worsens. It helps if we are aware of our human frailties and we might need an extra drink more frequently. God help us all.

That is not what the document says. There was an original IAP signed on May 6, 2010, after the state declared an emergency. Look at the first page on the link. Following the original IAP there is a new seven-day IAP extension August 27, through September 2, 2010, calling for alert and certain action from 0700 August 27 to 0700 August 30th.

Other coastal counties are likely to have a similar alert, but not necessarily posted to the internet.
