The entire entity formerly know as the “Gulf Of Mexico” now has a higher percentage of oil than water and can no longer be considered a body of water. The U.S. considers the Reserve as its possession, the justification being that the oil from the BP drilling belonged to the U.S., the oil now composes the Gulf, therefore the Gulf belongs to the U.S. much in the same logic that the oil under Iraq now belongs to the U.S.
Arguments questioning this sudden ownership have been raised by Mexico and Cuba, but the U.S. has firmly stated that if they want a cut then they need to go pollute their own ocean, a suggestion Mexico is seriously considering with its wells on the Pacific coast. For the love of all I hope they're happy. Even if assumed fake this was some of the most entertaining reading I have come across in a while. EXCELLENT find. If the oil cash cow of the GOM is shut off from BP/Crown a "back up" was in waiting all along, in their "own" territory. Exploit others' natural resources before you go off digging up your own.

I too have been watching from the first day but have to respectfully disagree.The fact that some posters have put extraordinary effort into the thread is obvious but it does not give them right of ownership.The thread was begun by OP and the rest of us are merely players.Hopefully we can leave our egos out of it and learn to cooperate as a working unit regardless of when we became interested in the thread.Personal attacks are childish as is cliquishness.Let's give credit where credit is due and then get on with the job at hand in an atmostphere of mutual respect and harmony.
