I know the Russians successfully sealed off at least half a dozen oil wells using small nukes, and others didn't get sealed. There's a couple of clips on youtube actually. I don't know how many nukes they used to seal deep sea leaks though.

Tnx nexus,
Yes I had read about that. But was that specific for Lake V or B ?
And then again, I dont think that that would also mean that they had the/a premodial organism in those leaking wells ...
the leaking of the wells (as I had understood) was due to changing pressures like you explained in more of your postings.
It does not have to implicate that every leaking well nuked had the AUrganism and /or a nano-engeneered version of it ... imo.
What is your opinion on that?

I'm not Nexus, but want to repeat what was put out here much earlier in the thread.

In the 1970's when/after Mars exploration was being funded, Wolf Vishnic developed the "Wolf Trap" for the express purpose of capturing alien bacteria for research. The importance of the trap was to keep such bacteria isolated until further research could determine if there could be harm in contact.

The Wolf Trap lost its funding and did not go to Mars.

Vishnic was later sent to Antarctica in the scientific rush to examine the warm under-ice lake. This man was a vocal opponent of wild-west type of research without taking built-in precautions against unknown organisms. Vishnic died in Antarctica, reported to have fallen in a crevice. Many people believed he had been killed for his effort to limit the scope of digging into the frozen ice without taken precaution for unknown consequences.

It is highly likely that Russians have developed a high degree of technical capability with underwater, iced conditions and unfrozen, prehistoric organisms.
