In South Carolina we have crazy stuff going on all the time and some things never get explained.

This week, we had four miles of rural electric co-op power lines to just collapse. I mean, just fall out, lines and poles all over the place. These are old poles and lines, probably installed in the 1940s or 1950s.

No one is explaining anything. Do these old-style poles have zinc and copper plates in the ground for charging? I don't know of a transformer station in the area.

If we have about 10 poles to a mile of line, is it possible that we had some "Bubba" dig up and steal two copper plates collapsing all the poles in between?

Several guys around here have been electrocuted stealing copper out of the old manufacturing plants that have been shut down to send production to China.
