Closed to the public doesn't mean that there aren't employees always on site, always monitoring communications, always accessible to their peeps who know how to contact them. OP's gf has worked several weekend days at her job since this started, particularly when there is high activity.
Unless you work in the same embassy, you have no way of knowing what their staffing is today.
I know for a fact, I dealt with the Canadian Embassy in Cyprus and they where closed on weekends and they give you an emergency number to be able to reach them. BUT THEY ARE CLOSED
And that is another red flag that OP says his g/f works on the weekend. And didn't he say that she worked at the French Embassy. Well there is no French Embassy in France.As there is no Canadian Embassy in Canada and so on and so on...
