I don't know if anyone has looked at the Deepwater site in oogle maps, but the seabed is clearly pictured. The drilling site seems to be on the shelf. The whole area, though, is rather interesting - to the SE is what appears to be an impact crater or depression, from which runs a scar in the shelf running NW past the drilling site.

If it is indeed an impact crater, where would you look for the impactor?
