My home is rural and I'm very lucky to have slow dsl, when it's working. The BP site literally jams up my computer. Thank you for your post. I would like to ask you all, who knows for sure that the seafloor is disrupted and seen it with her/his own eyes? Who is sure and seen that bacterien eating metal? Who is sure and seen that large amount of methaanhydrates escaping the seafloor? I have seen what appeared to be a jagged opening in the sea floor. In other words, regular sea bed in the area and the jagged place with nothing but dark, which looked like an opening. Nothing on the screen to give size to the area, but it looked large enough for stuff to fall into. It looked similar to the way a highway cracks open after there has been an earthquake. You can't see the bottom and are afraid to close up close for fear of falling in. I saw the metal pipes on the seabed turn red hot, maybe something that the ROV hand was doing to it, but the mechanical hand was bent when removed - so it was unexpected. I saw huge plumes of black, smokey, billowing 'something' suddenly blow out of the seafloor, then the camera turns away. I saw the stainless steel walls of the well on the ship that the BOP had been washed in start to melt, making a hole in the side near the bottom that grew larger. If bugs were not "eating" the metal, then something was melting it. I saw a lot of different places in one single screen where something was blowing and spewing out of the seafloor, mostly white looking. Don't know what it was. Saw the pictures of the plane crash in the Gulf with the water on fire. I know that Methane settles low and mixes somewhat with water and I know that Methane burns. So it seems to me that the crashing plane set Methane on fire. I think that because Methane is reported to be at high levels in the Gulf. The fire surely was not burning sea water and the plane was too small for a large crash fire, imo. If damn BP wanted us to see stuff, they would never have rigged the cams with filters, or lowered the pixels, or whatever they did to diminish the clarity of the images. BP should never have filtered our view. I talked to two guys up from the Gulf who said something was "eating" into the sides of the boats. Don't know if it's chemicals or bugs, or what. |
