My theory is that this is all staged to break with maximum effectiveness to effect the US midterms.
I wouldn't have expected it to be allowed to lurk around much before now. I have had my eye on the well area's marine traffic for months now.
There is probably a connection between the release of the contracted cleanup (and possibly security) crews and the dropping of the security cordon around the area.

AM, you've stated the same thing on several of your threads, but you've never explained what you are talking about with respect to the election.
Please explain what you think the possible consequences could be regarding the Gulf.
This is an off-year election and many important positions were decided in the primaries this summer. Is there a particular one or two seats up for grabs where GOM is of consequence? Do any of these make a difference in a majority shift in Congress?
Please explain what you think is the significance of holding back information on the Gulf disaster until after the election. I'm not seeing your big picture.

The well design for MC252A/B has NEVER been established. I personally have concluded, with some GLP unconfirmed evidence, that BP and Haliburtion decided to frack the transverse feeder of a VOC volcano that feeds the Biloxi Dome from the deep-earth abiotic reserve that covers the entire area of the GOM and under much of the souther USA, and feeds their Na Kika and Thunderhorse superfields, as well as other, apparently unconnected wells in the GOM.
The well plan, in my estimation, called for a horizontal fracking section to be drilled at an angle of the well A shaft, and then area was to be opened into a high pressure reservoir that was then going to be produced or at least tested from well B. BP and Haliburton went to the Obama administration, with a plan that was against regulations, and largely untested and proven in deep waters, but the administration approved it anyway, in order to continue their "energy independence agenda".
The Haliburtion well stimulation team lost control of the fracking procedure on well A around the beginning of February. The government was notified of this, but because they had originally approved the procedure, they decided to go into full cover up mode.
Now, one can assume what one wants, but I believe the USG and USCG have dancing to the tune BP has set since the beginning, including information flow control. In this climate, there are literally dozens of moderately important facts that have to be hidden from the public, any ONE of which could open up and become a major scandal for the executive administration.
Now what does this have to do with the Tea Party?
The best way to break something is to entrust it to those who do not understand it's value. The Tea Partiers, along with several branches of the GOP, HATE government, that is why modern Republicans tend to be so inept, because they do not understand the ramifications of the body they are entrusted to control, since they prefer it to not function at all, they make the government over in their image of it, as dysfunctional and bloated!
I believe that the GOM event will come out as a scandal against the executive branch equivalent or worse than Watergate. I believe, as a result of this, the midterm elections will see the decimation of the Democratic party and the election of Tea Partiers nationwide.
In this climate, the executive branch will be weakened because of scandal and the legislative branch will be weakened because of an exodus of capable, if corrupt, incumbents and an influx of people who do not understand government and hold in a contempt for it.
In this climate is the foundation for a Caesar to cross the Rubicon, and take our Republic into an Empire, as if we are the modern day Rome.
