The illustration of the 22-mile long plume of hydrocarbon material makes it easier to imagination Woodie's description of an tar-ball reef.

The illustration also shows quite clearly that the actual plume begins some distance from the BP blowout well, and not at the well.

Yes, these research ships don't appear to have a particular interest in the plume reef, but only in the dome(s) near the well.

Yes LFY, this is crazy. When I was a kid, my parents took us to Panama City Beach for vacation in the summers. No big fancy hotels in the early days, just beachside camper parks and lots and lots of open beach. If we had a scratch or stubbed toe, Mom told us it'll heal when we got to the beach, and it always did! The salt water was very curing.

I wonder how many more have lost their lives to this parasite? Are the Gulf waters being tested for it/ If so and if it is present I believe a nationwide warning should be issued. All these folks who died had comprimised immune systems and superficial wounds. Some were infected in the ocean but one women died as a result of cleaning seafood.

The Pisces, NOT the TOISA Pisces, is also conducting survey/ROV ops in the area. They have been doing a thorough survey of the area to the west of the wellhead today.

That is where most of the undersea piping is supposedly located, which could just have to do with the fact that this is also where a number of the "natural" seeps are located.

I have watched marinetraffic at fairly regular times and have not found any research type activity over the area of the plume-reef which, as AM states, is generally the area where the most of the undersea pipe highway extends.

The interest seems to be over and between the domes. The Gyre has circled easterly of the dome today.

You guys are going to freak: all these ship names have mystical connections.

(Latin gyrus, a spiral): A gyre is a spiral or circular motion. WB Yeats uses the image of a gyre in "The Second Coming" as his private symbol for the forces of history, taking the idea from medieval falconry. ...

A bit off-topic and also not.

Since we talked about UFO's yesterday,
I will post this coz it is interesting in the speculation
if the reported thing MIGHT BE something else then what is said in the snippet ... ;)

Magnetic anomalies shield the Moon
(EDIT to post link :) [link to www.physorg.com]

snip:

Magnetized regions called magnetic anomalies, mostly on the far side of the Moon, were found to strongly deflect the solar wind, shielding the Moon’s surface.
... Observational evidence for these findings were presented by Drs. Yoshifumi Futaana and Martin Wieser at the European Planetary Science Congress in Rome, on Friday 24th September.

Atmosphere-less bodies interact with the solar wind quite differently than the Earth: Their surfaces are exposed without any shielding by a dense atmosphere or magnetosphere. This causes them to be heavily weathered by meteoroids or the solar wind, forming a very rough and chaotic surface called regolith. Previously, the solar wind was thought to be completely absorbed by regolith. However, recent explorations of the Earth's moon by the Chang'E-1, Kaguya and Chandrayaan-1 spacecrafts have revealed that this interaction is not that simple.

A significant flux of high energy particles was found to originate from the lunar surface, most probably due to the solar wind directly reflected off the Moon’s regolith. “These results may change dramatically the way we understood the solar wind-regolith interaction so far,” says Dr. Futaana of the Swedish Institute of Space Physics. “Since the solar wind is one potential source of water on the Moon, we need to make better models of the lunar hydrogen circulation in order to understand how water molecules form in its upper layers. Also, it will be possible to remotely investigate the solar wind-surface interaction on other airless bodies, such as Mercury or the Martian moon Phobos, by imaging the energetic hydrogen atoms that are reflected back to space when the solar wind hits their surface,” he adds.

>>The FAR SIDE .... guys wake up !!!!!

... who sais it is not comming from whats under the surface ?
It was discussed before that our moon but also Phobos (and Deimos) could be artificial stations made by our alien friends ...
What if these fluxes of high energy particles ar due to "action" beneath the surface ? (INSIDE the -holow- moon(s) ??) ...

AND it (the article above) was said at that congress in Rome !!!
Again a piece of info that works towards a certain DISCLOSURE ?? ....
 Quoting: Krispy71

Talking about the Moon...When I was working for a large aerospace company here in Washington state <guess who> I heard a few stories, one of which was that the reason USA got to the moon and then suddenly stopped was that they found they were not the first to be on the moon, in fact there appears to be a very substantial mining operation going on. Ground Control studied the situation and sent word to LEAVE...Quickly! And they never went back. I was shown 8X10 prints of something that looked a little like those cranes on top of buildings, only huge that seemed to be digging on side of crater. If I was driving a little Lunar Rover and came over a hill and saw that I would soon find out how fast that thing would go in reverse.

AM, can you, or any other reader, look at the terrain on marinetraffic and describe the location of the 22-mile plume reef relative to the major domes?

I have not been able to understand why there is so little apparent interest in the plume and its texture and contents. Do they think they have it figured out? Or, due to limited resources and a higher priority, time is spent over and between the domes?

Someone posted a while back on some GOM thread that he had info that there are 38 active hydrocarbon "vents" that do not have any kind of piping or production casing on them at all. I speculate that this plume is actually *fresh oil* from these vents, which are in turn on the domes. I also suspect that some kind of incomplete industrial remediation has been done to try to limit the damage of these vents, or hide them, such as a permanent underwater collection or disperasant system or both.

I would expect that they are taking close inspections of this equipment as well as trying to gage what the geological conditions are on the sea-floor, since apparently, there has been significant destabilization, maybe even enough to disrupt the installed equipment.

Once the oil is in the water, BP doesn't really care about it, so the focus is on the fresh hydrocarbon sources.

When I opened up Thelivingmoon the first picture was pretty close only they had pasted in picture of standard Hopto or similar like is used for digging basements. What I saw, on side of crater like that was a vertical pole with crossarm like what they use on tall buildings. PLUS, there was evidence of roads and bridges. Like I said earlier, If I came over top of hill and saw all that going on you would be surprised how fast I could find "R" on the gearshift on the Lunar Rover. If it didn't have one I would make one.
