Scare over rare-earth minerals underlines fear of a rising China September 28, 2010

China controls 97 per cent of the global output, according to the US Government Accountability Office. Rare-earth minerals are 17 metals whose magnetic properties allow the manufacture of light-weight, super-miniaturised components. They are essential for gadgets such as iPods and digital cameras, flat-screen TVs and smartphones.

A Chinese stockbroking analyst, Min Li of Yuanta Securities, was quoted by Reuters as saying: "Rare earth for China is like oil to the Middle East." Except China's rare-earth dominance makes the OPEC cartel, controlling 40 per cent of global oil, look like a wide-aisle 24/7 supermarket by comparison.

The Pentagon is studying potential US military vulnerability. According to The Wall Street Journal, a US military research analyst has written in the Joint Force Quarterly that "China appears to be holding an unlikely trump card". A US Congressional committee is holding an inquiry of its own.

Although China is not blackbanning Japan, it is tightening its shipments of rare-earth ores. It has gradually limited exports since 2005, and last month it cut export quotas for 2010 by 40 per cent because, it said, its domestic industries needed them.

A scary example of the sinister side of China's gathering power? Three quick points.

First, rare earths are not especially rare. Some are more plentiful in the ground than tin. They were named because, before World War II, there was no known method for mass extraction. When scientists worked it out, they put europium in TV sets to give us red. Colour TV was born.

Second, China has a near-monopoly of output, but not of reserves. China has 59 per cent share of known reserves, but the rest is under the ground in Australia, Canada, the US and India, among others.

Australia has Arafura Resources (25 per cent owned by a Chinese state-controlled company) and, until the mid-1980s the world's dominant producer was a US mine at Mountain Pass in California, which closed down years ago.

It's just that China is the country doing the most digging. Why? Price. This is the third point. China is the lowest-cost producer. It flooded the world market with cheap rare earths. From 1990 to 2008, it boosted exports by an extraordinary 1000 per cent, and this pushed down export prices by 60 per cent. Mines elsewhere shut down, points out an Australian expert on mining and energy, Mike Komesaroff.

One of the reasons China is such a low-cost producer? It's a filthy process, and China has been lax with environmental policing. Large tracts of land have been ruined by toxic tailings laced with radioactive waste. Many workers have been harmed.

As global demand grows and Chinese supply tightens, other mines in other countries will become profitable. The market will supply a solution. The owner of Mountain Pass, Molycorp Inc, has plans to reopen by 2012. In other words, don't panic.

Reading that about those 2 commets makes me think if their "dust" will create the "red moon" that is talked about ? Becoz just like you say/suggest they could create a river/barrier/conduit between the earth and the sun.
I think many of pieces will hit the earth and will cause sternation all around. It will change influences we normaly recieve out of space ... And yes when parts of those 2 commets hit the sun that alwways has effects on the sun and us (remember flux event every 8mins)

But I think that beside the corexit they also use an engeneered version of the AUgie-organism to 1. trying to fight its origin (like sons often have killed their parents in mythology and history), and 2. create a negative image of the organism which they -on a later point- can point at as "doom and destructive, dangerous" ... iow > staging the scenery of their desired outcome.

I think in other times this tactick would have worked, but times are changing and others energies and phisics (universal) are weightening the scene ... This is not an "Earth-event" anymore alone, what is happening outside is a galactic event, with galactic powers and laws.

Another small detail that has major implications....The oil that I said people thought was from the well was some fluid in the "Stasis" eggs that "they" are cracking open. Then some other substance is applied that makes it turn into something else. I am sure "coreexit" might really mean that it causes the "Core" of the egg to "exit" which is what they want as they are close by with a "jail Cage" on a cable that they hoisted up to unload during the GOM ops.

Well I always figured that substance if it knocks the hell out of the "Long Walkers" it is like real bad for us and it also turns the stasis fluid from brownish to reddish brown, which is ther oil seen in the GOM that was highly toxic. I.E. torch the sea life caught in the red goo, do not attempt to save or clean.

I dont think eighter that AUgie and AUgus are the same as STUXNET, but they could be related or connected in matters that is not so obveous ...

The organism does not have to be responsible for the virus and software problems around the world, but the raise in Hz and frequency from the Earth herself and the whole solarsystem and the incomming/arriving photonic energies could all be linked to what is happening and to what is Awakening/gaining and expanding consciousness.

Most of us haven't fully arrived on earth/into our bodies yet - until that happens, we can't use human existence as a launching pad into the next level. We're not talking 1000th monkey, we're talking billionth monkey. BTW, I had dinner with Rupert Sheldrake years ago (he was one of the first proponents of morphogenetic fields). He agreed that the probability of a critical mass of consciousness sufficient to create that evolutionary leap through morphogenetics was highly unlikely, if not impossible to accomplish in our current global mindset.

Hmmmm - just reading what I wrote above makes me think that perhaps we do indeed need some sort of external catalyst to precipitate the field of human consciousness into a new state.

When I have that thought, then the role of Augie and cosmic activation of some sort begins to become perhaps clearer. Something to which we are not currently conditioned and adapted needs to enter our experience and influence global consciousness for the desired transformation to occur.

In other words, we are not going to lift ourselves by our own bootstraps, but could be approaching a condition of maximum susceptibility to the necessary cosmic catalyst. Makes me think of Prigogine and dissipative structures.

I am a George Carlin groupie, and wondering what I should pack in my bags....will we be able to take any of our "sh*t" with us, like photos of our family, clothes, seeds? What is on the packing list? This is a serious question, has anyone heard the answer?

I wondered if anyone might want to discuss this issue in a little more detail. When one watches the video it is clear that in certain locations the flora and fauna are looking good at the bottom of the Gulf. EVERYTHING IS DEAD ABOVE 30-40 FEET!!!!!!Now if the area that was killed was killed because of corexit or oil or a combination of the two there must have been two very different layers in the water, one healthy below and one unhealthy above. I have no idea what is actually in COREXIT but if it has properties that would adversly affect communications or infrastructure I can well imagine that a submarine trying to surface would run into serious problems GOING VERTICAL and would have to go HORIZONTAL again in order to stabilize!!!!! Any thoughts?

As early as 1973 it was found that this star has a companion with a mass less than 0.05 that of the Sun. (alpha) Eridani (Achernar, the End of the River) is a magnitude 0.5 blue-white star 85 light years away.

(beta) Eri (Cursa, the footstool, referring to its position under the foot of Orion) is a magnitude 2.8 blue-white star 91 light years away.

(epsilon) Eri is a magnitude 3.7 star and the most like the Sun of the nearby stars. This yellow dwarf star was one of the first stars to be sent radio signals in case there is life there. It is only 10.5 light years away, so radio signals would take this long to reach it.

The Chinese may have cornered the rare earth element production....BUT....that doesn't mean those elements are NOT present anywhere else...because they ARE..however due to expense of production, and disposal of contaminants from the productionn...everyone else has just decided to let them do it....

FINALLY figured how to get some of my screens and photoshoped enhanced photos...

All I did was play with colors and other parameters but did not in ANY way add anything or augment the photos for dramatic effect.
