Sarah Kuzma of Meyer Realty said their occupancy rate as of late Friday afternoon was 85 percent, compared to 79 percent for the festival in 2009.
“I had predicted that we could have biggest shrimp festival weekend ever,” she said. “I’m happy to say our numbers are proving that to be correct.” How many of these shrimpeating people and children will become sick in the comming weeks ? How many of then did ever read REAL news articles ???? Or visited a forum like GLP ? ... How sad and tragic ! What "real" news articles are you talking about? These people are being told that the fish has been checked and is OK, go ahead and eat it and go ahead and swim in the water and play on the beaches. 10,000 out of 300 million people may visit glp, and those of us shouting the warnings and being smothered and drowned out by the glib n'sayers who talk of enlightenment and aliens coming to town.
