Is it dead??? Have we won yet???? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 843060On the book "The Economy of Nature Explained and Illustrated" by George Gregory Chapter XXXV Animal Electricity, he explained an experiment in which he placed a piece of silver on top of his tongue and a piece of gold on the bottom of his tongue and bringing both metals into contact created a vivid bright flash of light on his vision. The same experiment on dissected frogs created muscle contractions on the dead frogs legs when the metals where placed on the legs. The book is available on Google Books Dead frogs legs have muscle contractions when you cook 'em. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1111604 Australia 10/14/2010 12:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NexEd's comments on NZ falling in to the ocean ah-lah-Atlantis has had me thinking, as I'm sure a lot of you have also been doing on said points. That kind of hole would soak up a huge amount of ocean. This got me thinking about the GoM and Augie, which I always like to try to link back in to anything BEZERK. The whole terraforming thing about the GoM situation being created to change 'something' for our ET bro's may not be about temperatures or air quality etc, although temperature may come in to it, at a localised level. When Augie morphs, he gives off heat. Many have postulated that when Augie is done, he will be a giant heat sink. If there are other Augies around the globe, doing just that, what would be the result? Sea temps rise a bit? What about what's beneath Augie's blanket? - and in the crust below? What if Augie is locating over large frozen methane fields/pockets. Not meters wide, by 100Kms wide and deep, and in the four theatres around the planet. Augies melt said methane, create massive earth bulges, burst the bulges, release gasses in to the air, then collapse down in to a giant hole. A hole that fills with sea water. Done on a big enough scale, the water line would lower around the globe. Why? because we need more land for our friends when they come down. We would have the same amount of water on Earth, just in different places. New lands, and perhaps old cities would rise up again... Whilst searching for that antipode map, my son asked why I was looking for maps of Earth without water. I told him, and when I found one, his reply was wow, we could all live in those hills if the water was gone! Waddayareckon? From the mouths of babes... |

The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced this week it is investing in US energy reserves located in south Texas, a move expected to draw little political opposition in the US.
