You read and post on this thread and you are fully aware that there is a total DEAD ZONE in the water column from between 25 feet from the surface to 65 feet from the surface. DEAD, no sea life in the affected areas.

Glad you mentioned "Echoes" from Ohio and the hot-tub. It is unusual for people in South Carolina to do hot tubs. Plus temperatures this summer were in triple digits all over the state, and when Ohio "Echoes" visited "relatives" in Columbia early in the fall, the temps were still above 70* f at night. If the Department of Defense backs away from its part of the agreement with BP, in other words jumps in and takes control, then BP is out of any responsibility for the agreement. Or, I believe that will be the case.

The Gulf issue is dynamic and I'd like to hear opinions about exactly when others around the world think that local citizens should step up and take control of the matter, and exactly how you think we should do that.

In the meantime, a comparative few citizens are trying to get general public awareness that BP and the US government agencies involved with the Gulf are lying about the containment, lying about the cleanup, and lying about the health effects based on reports we have no way of verifying.

I would expect the disease to be present in the close offshore waters if it's having a direct affect on the residents. Or rainwater samples could be collected if people think that's the way they are being contaminated. People who are unhappy that I deleted their posts from my thread have two choices:

Yes, everyone who watched the feeds feel like BP switched cams on the well heads during the shut down for the storm.

About the one well still flowing, best guess is it is necessary to relieve pressure to keep the sea floor from completely blowing out from the hydrates warming up and escaping.
