I just read on Duncan's thread that he believes the Astute kerfuffle was due to Chinese mischief.
Any takers here?
No just sheer stupidity!They were in shallow waters and should have been further out go sea!They were horsing around and someone will be courtmarshalled for it!The sub was only 2 months old and has apparently already had a fire on board!I think it is ill fated to the extreme!!
Quoting: childoflightI may be incorrect, but pretty sure I read that it is still in trials/testing phase. Also, the first sub/s to be completely "drive by 'wire". No manual controls.
