Not to bring religion into this but it is a point that referenced my mind the minute I read this. The scriptures speak of the ice of the north melting and forming a highway so to speak, for the "lost tribes" to come forth at the Saviours "second coming". The logistics of their theory of impact makes this bit of historical writing rather prophetic and ominous.
