Let me tell you a story..My son has cable internet, and one day when he went to log on..he had no cable..the next day he called the cable company, and asked wth was going on..what was going on, was that he was using so much bandwidth, that they cut him off...what happened was that someone had hijacked his internet connection, and was sending all sorts of spam/porn using his computer, AS IF THEY WERE HIM...and he didn't even know it. Until he got it straightened out...he had no internet...HOW did they do it??? I don't know...but do it they did.. Yes I have heard other situations like that but it doesn't explan how someone who "intends" to impersonate another specific individual(OP), whose whereabouts are really an unknown ,obtains the same IP as that specific individual. Again ...What are the odds? you know...my kid said the same thing..."what are the odds" I just know I'm not an IT..so I'm done trying to figure it out..or exlain You're kid was hacked at random. The OP situation is not a random event. |
