I did:

The uninvited guest: Chinese sub pops up in middle of U.S. Navy exercise, leaving military chiefs red-faced

When the U.S. Navy deploys a battle fleet on exercises, it takes the security of its aircraft carriers very seriously indeed.

At least a dozen warships provide a physical guard while the technical wizardry of the world's only military superpower offers an invisible shield to detect and deter any intruders.

That is the theory. Or, rather, was the theory.

OH GEM!
Maybe I am mis-writing things :)

Yes, I read that article two days ago, the article was dated November 10, 2007.
But some other thread (that RS linked to) was saying 2007 Chinese sub was the same day (not year) as missile launch November 8, 2010.

The 2007 article does not state on what day it occurred, nor could RS or I find any other article that stated the 2007 event occurred on November 8, 2007.

Therefore, I say it is unsound of poster to link the two together, unless he/she has a source that says the 2007 incident occurred on November 8, 2007.
