If so, my comment may sound like an exaggeration, but just think about it. Are 'they' going to have to cut off all the oil and freeze us to stop the biotransforming mutagenic compounds from taking over the world.

they are saying that an enzyme (capable of changing compounds) grows expansionaly in warm water when exposed to a mixture of crude oil and corexit.

My guess is that Synthia is the cathaclistic activator in this.
Normaly oil and corexit do not do such things when mixed,
but now that Venter has released his SYNTHIA into the corexit and waters, unexpected (to normal biologists and unaware people) things are happening and mutations are taking place, resulting in carcinogenic substances.

All they have to do (my guess) is delete/switch of the synthia data-gene. So that it dies off.
I dont know if freezing-over will be nessecary ... I hope not.

Edit to clarify - Okay, a modified future Synthia created for short-term survival is what your talking about, right? But the problem is the Synthia already released into the environment. What is it going to take to halt this before all life on earth is affected.
