The man from The Aquarium then placed a small, glass vial, containing what Zabel said looked like Fool's Gold, on the desk and said, “That's what they're here for.” He said everything else, abductions, etc., had nothing to do with why we were being visited. They were only here for whatever it was that was in the vial.

I am gonna have a look at it.
What surprised me is that the vial (flacon) was said to have something "LOOKING LIKE foolsgold" ... SOOOOO It didnt LOOK like REAL GOLD, nor exactly like foolsgold.
Like I suspect, they are after/ and refering to something that looks like both but isnt (that is visable) ... so I think it is something many of us never saw ... a form of crystal liqud gold ...
(= not the same as gold-nanoparticals in a crystal liquid solution)

I'm sure all of you recall, but in the beginning, the descriptions of Augie were that of gold too. That is transformed in to a gold like substance for a short while, then continued transforming.
A few of us were also looking in to what Monatom was describing earlier on too, that being white powder gold, or something like it.
One of the substances in the 'canisters' was referred to "as possibly being the excrement of the organism" - which some thought was possibly what we were calling WPG.
There was some dissagreement on this aspect, but if you will also recall back before the cases were opened, that was one of the things I mentioned was in the canisters. In fact, I said dead organism/Augie poo and a relic/fossil/artifact.
My speculation on the canisters was that they allowed containment and physical ability to 'see' the organism/poop.
So, getting back to the above post - "That's what they're here for". The organism, whether Augie McMidas, ancient implanted alien pre-programmed organism, naturally occuring Earth fluid, or what ever... that's WHY, according to this new thread, that ETs or IDB's (inter-dimensional beings) are here, and comming here for.
Does this then imply that the splash zones, and occurances of the organism are not man made at all, but are engineered happenings to encourage the organism to the surface and start the process, turning A in to B? (seawater/oil/methane>>gold-like)[gold-like production?

A little shared info can go a long way to turning a story on its head. ( some would say its been about this all along)
So, terraforming might not be the plan at all, instead the plan maybe closer to Human traits. Greed. Sucking Earth dry by using the organsim/Earth blood to change A to B like the alchemists of old always wanted to do.
Is Augie the base building block then? Is Earth special, or is this a common ingredient on planets at this stage of growth? Was Mars like this once? Did it get sucked dry?
