The links showing the entrance to tunnels in Antarctica are particularly interesting.

Please recall that much earlier in the thread when we started discussing Antarctica, it was mentioned that someone vacationing at the Southern tip of Chile was flying back to Santiago when the commercial airliner made an unscheduled stop and picked up passengers who filled all the vacant seats in the plane. The vacationer said that they were speaking Spanish and thought that they were construction workers by the little that he could understand they were saying. There are no known major construction projects at the lower end of Chile.

Following that, we all witnessed the very unusual participation that NASA gave to the "rescue" of Chilean miners. Now, what was that about?

When the rescued miners were brought to the surface, they all wore large framed, dark sunglasses and we could not see who they were.

Was NASA involved in this "rescue" ceremony because a tunnel from Antarctica had been (re)opened in the Andes?
