Oh, My Stars and Hexagons! DNA Code Shapes Gold Nanoparticles

DNA holds the genetic code for all sorts of biological molecules and traits. But University of Illinois researchers have found that DNA's code can similarly shape metallic structures. The team found that DNA segments can direct the shape of gold nanoparticles--tiny gold crystals that have many applications in medicine, electronics and catalysis. Each of the four DNA bases codes for a different gold particle shape: Rough round particles, stars, flat round discs and hexagons.

NSF's South Pole Telescope Discovers a Galaxy Cluster Creating Stars at a Record Pace

A National Science Foundation-funded radio telescope in Antarctica has found an extraordinary galaxy cluster that may force astronomers to rethink how galaxy clusters and the galaxies that inhabit them evolve.

The galaxy cluster was discovered some 5.7 billion light years from Earth by the 10-meter wide South Pole Telescope (SPT) located at NSF's Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica, which is funded by NSF's Office of Polar Programs.

When normal living DNA is subject to gold in nano form, the nano gold is used to break down the dna, or 'unzip' it so to speak, allowing re-programming. I dont know how they zip it back up however.

So these guys are using a specific nano gold particle, and introducing individual base sticks to them to see what happens. Wow.

Betting that it will occur with other metals and other nano building blocks too.

The vids of steel pipes morphing in to animals was mostly ridiculed over the net, when BeePeeGuy pointed them out. But as usual, time has proven him right again.

An interesting aspect of that research is the use of salt in the mix to make these gold nano seeds. They were created in a gold salt solution.

I still dont understand the way salt is used on a planetary scale, other than it might be a barrier of sorts. This gold nano salt solution is just all the more intriguing as a result.

I wonder what would happen if these scientists did their experiments in a pitrie dish with some of Lake Vostok's water in it?

Living metal creatures perhaps? If pipes were semi mutating down at the bottom of the GoM, then some of this majik, creation water quite possibly is down there too, or has been directed down there to try to remedy the problem created.

Cool article Isis.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Have they never seen a sand bank, and what wave action and tidal flow does against it?

If this is the best excuse they can come up with why the missi has lost all her water...

How about investigative journalists actually investigate where the water has gone or is being used for?

Regards the salt incursion... maybe the planet DOES use it as a barrier.

Officials: Sinkhole butane explosion possible

Officials differ in opinion on sinkhole butane worst-case scenario

Tuesday, two major official agency spokespersons gave differing opinions about the sinkhole worst-case scenario, one saying a butane release is possible but unlikely; the other saying that H-bomb equivalent energy release calculations based on a butane explosion is “over the top.” An official on-site each day since the area imploded Aug. 3 says a butane explosion is possible and his greatest concern and ABC News reports Thursday that officials fear an explosion.

snip

DEQ Enforcement Division administrator said reports that butane released from the Crosstex cavern could result in an H-bomb explosion-equivalent are “a little bit over the top.”

snip

Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said last week his concern is that the expanding sinkhole is close to the butane well, then containing 1.5 million barrels of liquid butane, a highly volatile liquid that turns into a highly flammable vapor upon release.

“A breach of that well, he said, could be catastrophic,” CNN reported.

Officials have asked Crosstex to complete a new worse-case scenario report that was due Wednesday. That report has not been made public, yet.

Thursday, the sinkhole expanded another fifty feet, pulling in more trees and a boat that workers were using.

The amount of butane in the well is now reported to be 940,000 barrels and earlier was reported to be 1.2 million barrels. McMillan said Crosstex had been continuing to move natural gas liquid product in and out of its caverns for customers and monitors its facility hourly.

Crosstex spokesperson, Jill McMillan “did not directly address DEQ’s request in an email statement.”

Texas Brine’s salt cavern and Crosstex butane well are both in the underground Napoleonville Salt Dome that houses about fifty other storage areas. Only one company other than Crosstex’s is storing hydrocarbon there. The others store brine, according to reports, but question remains what else is stored there underground, out of sight.

The public, including some state, parish and local officials, recently learned Texas Brine has been storing in its cavern radioactive waste from the fossil fuel industry. Some now wonder what else other companies might be storing under the ground in that dome.

DNR officials knew but did not make public that the Texas Brine cavern had structural problems since early 2011.

Salt domes are large, ancient formations of salt in the ground that are used for the commercial mining of petroleum, salt and sulfur, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Salt domes can be as deep as 10,000 feet and are mostly found along the Gulf of Mexico’s north coast and in Texas and Louisiana,

Yeah, it's a great thought isnt it. And man are they playing down the radio active side of things. Hell, they are still trying to play down the 'storage' aspect as they know folks will start questioning what reserves are... and are they safe to have major populations living around them?

Try the entire Gulf coast line, Texas, New Mexico, Mississipi, and plenty more large oiul producing states.

So butane ignites, creates a massive explosion, which ignites other reserves and gas pockets, spews radio active material throughout the region, poisons the entire ground water systems, collapses masive areas or land...

Did I miss anything? Surely this has to be wrong, and they know what they're doing and can fix or at least stem this.

A shocking report from Russian Northern Fleet scientists aboard the Gepard Akula II, which just completed its maiden voyage off the United States coastline in the Gulf of Mexico, warns the aftereffects from the 20 April 2010 BP Oil Spill Disaster are “beyond catastrophic” and borders on the “truly apocalyptic.”

The Gepard Akula II nuclear-powered submarine [photo 2nd right] is the most advanced stealth underwater vessel ever built and began its sea trials last month in the Gulf of Mexico where it went undetected by US Naval Forces for weeks until it had left the region and resurfaced in the Atlantic Ocean much to the embarrassment of the Americans.

Hello Ma Dear! smile_kiss

- was a bit of a 'lead in', and glad you grabbed it!

...sooo, dippin ze toe in a little? Might see you on board a whisker more? You have been missed.

Anyone else starting to wonder at who BeePeeGuy was/is?

So much of what he said at the time, which seemed a bit crazy, is comming true.

I have a quote in my records that I cant find an article link against, but it's amongst his work.

"When we start hearing low, muffled explosions from deep under ground, we'll know that the individualised pockets of fracked strata have indeed become interlinked to become a 'super fracked' strata. The Super fracked strata will have exposed innumerous underground cavern filled with salts, minerals, gasses and oils that rest against a subsection of the Madrid fault. When this happened they'll know they've messed up big time".

"The US Gov has been undergoing a 24/7 operations, at numerous sites, of keeping the caverns pressurized with fluids, to prevent methane in particular, from traveling through the fault and destabilizing it further. Watch for low lakes, low rivers, depleted aquifers". [create a heat wave to cover up this development?]

"The point where they cant cover it up anymore is when methane bubbles start appearing in the Gulf, and Gulf States. It will be a sign that the US's efforts have failed and that the methane was now free flowing. If we start to see methane bubbles and sinkholes around the Gulf coast, it would signal a window of months before a cascade failure occurs, as salt domes and gasseous pockets collapse".

This fits in scarily well with events of late, including the low muffled explosions. Most folks have referred to them as 'booms' - and I have jumped to the conclusion of sonic booms, not muffled explosions from under ground.

Must admit, this scenario scares the crap out of me. That was dated late 2010.

Hiya DMG. There is a thread on that here on GLP.

What I find interesting about it, is that I recall RenegadeSon, who was a sub mariner, stating that they could pick up a fish fart if they wanted to, and that NOTHING goes unnoticed by the Navy in particular in local waters.

There are only two real entrances in to the GoM, unless there are caves we dont know about, and you can bet these entrances are well arrayed, and monitored.

So a Ruskie sub entering would surely have been noticed.

Which takes me back to 'factions' and not soveriegn countries playing this game. If the Navies are still a part of a faction, then this would be a show of what? The message unfortunately came from Sorcha Faal, who are'nt the best at reporting accurately. Usually they embellish, or leave things to the reader's mind to create the wrong picture. If the message was delivered by the Russian Parliament, then they would be aligned, yes?

So maybe this incident, if true, is a warning that although they trusted the US Govt and their faction to sort this, the situation is still being monitored.

What do you think?

Hey, on that other thread, the missile fired of Cali kept coming up. From a factional stand point, the same can be deduced as above. We're watching you.

In your wildest dreams, could you ever envisage a foreign power shooting off a purported nuclear missile, or at least a platform that could carry them, right off US beaches, and the entire US military does nothing? C'mon.

What does that tell you? They be in on it. Coup anyone?

I really hope none of the bad stuff we're posyulating ever happens, but if it does, what is the bet that the Govt is suspended, and the military, especially the Navy, takes over to run the country and fix the mess?
