well, that would be my good friend Tutu and I having some fun, and discussing on thread, what we sometimes talked about off thread. There was a dig at me in there about not seeing my face enough to remember me, which relates to skype.

It's a bit like that.
The Wingmakers were a famous Hoax.
They had several agenda's some people think they were trying to punch holes in reality so other people could see their way out [set up a belief structure, get some people to believe in it and watch them shift the old reality as they engage their new reality and in doing so set up a belief structure for those who witnessed such an event] but I think they were just out to sell Books and Magazines, I mean paintings and literature in this case.
That is nearly a perfect case to demonstrate how most of the rest of the conspiracy scene do exactly the same thing. Create interest, lead people around by the fantasy they desperately want to believe in because their normal lives are so shit and then make money off them.
Many people forget CT is a business for many and business is good.
Wingmakers, the Phoenix Journals, John Titor, all examples of the same thing. If they take with the public consciousness of the CT world and gain some credibility then they get incorporating into the official Intelligence community storyline and then they become the base of other stories which are built off earlier stories which give credibility to the first story/s and the second story/s.
All you need is mass distribution network to pump out these stories and have someone with some sort of credibility and standing to back them up. Lucky such figureheads were placed by the agencies decades earlier and feed old information to convince their flocks they were the real deal and had access to top level information. David dIcke used to be a BBC weather man. Many people who were in a journalist background who went CT are placements for the purposes of distributing disinformation. A lot of people who say they are former military are still on the military payroll I would suggest, distributing what they are told to distribute.
Those people distribute potential scripts to see how well they take with the CT public and how much they buy into such a vision. If people can invest enough belief in it and defend that Story then it becomes a Truth and Reality that is supported and backed by enough to keep it alive.
It all comes down to what you believe, what you want to believe and why you want to believe it.
