Re: "We're f*#!ing losing this thing."
Infamous Quote from Hermann Goering

"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece?

Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in
Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.

That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked,
and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the
country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Re: "We're f*#!ing losing this thing."
I actually called a radio show here in the DFW area (1080 KRLD) and got laughed off the air by one single question.

That question was "I don't know if you remember but Russia almost went bankrupt trying to win a war over there and they failed. What makes you think the USA can do any better?"

They laughed and laughed and hung up on me and went to the next caller.

While the world may forget my question I think it's a good one. History is doomed to repeat itself and we won't succeed where Russia failed.

Yup, I'd say it was time. Hey, look at it from another side. At least now we know who the real enemy is.

Great quote and so utterly absolutely true. Had some friends over for dinner last night and the topic of the Gulf came up. One person pointed out that BP shouldn't and couldn't be brought down because the pensions of 60% of the British workforce are tied up in BP. It ain't good, folks, when you have to lick the hand of your murderers. I'm just surprised they've finally come out in the open....we are truly fucked.

The people are not being told the truth. I have friends that did close to 5 years in Iraq and 1 year in Afghanistan and the pentagon just wants to send them back in for more. I've been told some people have been over there for even longer. This war has destroyed families. I'm talking husbands going home to no wive waiting for them. Uncle Sam owes the American people a lot more than just a pat on the back. gaah

I don't think we'll lose.

Though most people oppose the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. The UK doesn't support it anymore, and Canada and the EU are opposed. Most of the USA is opposed to the Iraq war, too.

America has no reason for being there. Anyone who thinks we do have a reason is retarded. American troops are there under NWO orders and the NWO has four reasons for being there.

1) Guard opium / make heroine
2) Keep Russia and China divided
3) Have a launching pad against Iran
4) Keep Russia from making a deal and running their pipeline

All four reasons will wind us up getting nuked FOR the NWO. They are using us as a human shield, just as they are using Israel. If nukes come this way we deserve it for not controlling our own country, the corrupt and our troops.

Keep watching American idol and wait for your certain death or demand change. REAL change.

You know what's a travesty? There's so much unemployment that when young adults/kids see the military recruitment kiosks set up in their local mall, they think this is 'the answer' to a paycheck.

They're not fighting to defend America anymore. They're killing innocent people to feed their families! This will never end unless there's an outside intervention.

The only solution to the war is to just kill everyone over there and then let people from the US settle in a new frontier type thing and then build up infrastructure and trade. The people there aren't smart enough to do it themselves. They insist on being backwards and violent. So let's show them some backwards violence and just flatten every structure in the country and bomb any survivors into dust. Ban using depleted Uranium so the new settlers don't all die of radiation poisoning. Think long term. We did it here with the Indians. We killed them all. We'll have to do it there to win.

Do we have the strength of will to accomplish our goal?

We made a substantial start on it with W's "shock and awe" campaign, which involved blowing up lots of the caves that people used to live in there in that desert landscape.

You can consider their lifestyle "backward" if you want. They may not think much of yours either.

Hard to blame them for being violent against invaders though.

Right we defeated Soviet & British , now we will defeat them as well.
 Quoting: Khan 883493

get a fucking history book, Afghans defeated the USSR and UK because of outside supply of weapons. The USSR fought against a US supplied Afghan force and the UK fought against a Ottoman supplied force, the USSR was in no position to make war aginst the US over it, and the UK wasalready fighting the Turks who were supplying the afghans, today its Iran supplying the Taliban, and the US CAN do something about it. Once the US/Israel attack comes against Iran, after you see abacklash at first, youll see the end of Hamas, Hezbollah,AL Queda and the Taliban, as no one will supply them. I welcome that date. Afghanistan has like huge lithium deposits.. got to get those batteries from somewhere!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1016882

The USA will need all the Lithium it can get its hands on if this oil spill continues.

People will be going bat shit crazy en mass if their kids start getting respiratory sickness from the fumes.

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Lithium pharmacology refers to use of the lithium ion, Li+, as a drug. A number of chemical salts of lithium are used medically as a mood stabilizing drug,

First off, I ain't a libtard.....this war CAN be won if we really want to win it....HOWEVER the American public and rest of the world won't have the stomach for it....It will be dirty, un PC, and brutal....do you think Obama and Co. has the balls to get the job done?.....I don't think so....SO.....given this situation, we should get the hell out....troops in a foreign land will always be seen as an occupation army regardless of intent.....without a mission or a leadership to see it thru, staying is just wasting soldiers.....

Remember the "highway of death" in Iraq?.....the campaign stopped cuz Bushco thought It was too brutal for Americans to stomach.....but in war,its smart to drive home the attack an destroy the enemy when they are on the run....PC, public perception, weak leadership, muddy politics,etc.....

Obama has nothing to to with whats going on military vice, he is an actor like most of the leaders, a puppet that is set up to show hope, Not giving the president the blame because if you van't another one, ''they'' will just set up one more with the same meaningless rethoric, The presiden't has nothing to deside, he acts as a make belive nanny, or a fake drunk santa, follow the monny and there you have the real leaders, witch is big mega corps like BP that is just 1 of them
