OP, I'm warning you about "nunquam" -- it exists, but it's not standard. As for the Latin, I would go with NVNC ITERVM. But I do not like tattoos, and hope the OP does not go through with this.

Engrave it on a pendant perhaps, and wear it for a while. With the passage of time -- years, even -- when life has rolled on by and you have matured past the mistake -- then melt down the pendant into some other form.

Live over the mistake. Commemorate that triumph.

By the way, what is the idea behind people getting tattoos done in languages in which they are not literate?
