Chances are, it's the property of the school district. The school district has the authority to tow cars of the property in most cases. Our school has its own police system, and cars that do not have parking stickers and are in the lot for an extended time without being moved will be towed. |

No stickers no po po's here, it's just an elementary school. It wouldn't be extended just maybe a day. |

I think they will have bigger things to worry about than towing cars. |

I live just down the road from the school and it just so easy to be able to drive up the road where it will be safe as the storm comes through. I just don't want the VFD hassling me if I try to. After Ike people went to the school thinking it was being used as a shelter and was maybe a drop off place for emergency supplies, since all the FD and their families were staying in the school. I heard they were quite rude to people that were showing up there asking questions. |
