Of all the sites I visit - this is one that I thought would be backing this guy up. Yet 5 pages of posts and only about 5 people got the point.

If it was closed for an event - there would have been signs posted. Clearly, there was no sign and none are evident in the film.

If you watch closely - you can see the mall security guards moving the people along on the inside. So this man was clearly yelling at authority figures and not just screaming randomly into a closed mall. Why didn't one of the security guards come to the door and explain it?

Instead of making fun of this guy - we should applaud him. We need more people with the balls to make a fuss when no one else will. Yes, it was just a mall - but it represents what's happening all around us.

Again, I'm very unhappy to see so many people here are not getting it. :o(

I agree to an extent. The spirit of the man's frustration is what is important; he's fed up with having his most basic human plans shot to shit because of the incompetence of those whom we depend upon in this society to provide us with service.

It would have been better if he was doing all of that just to demonstrate the apathy of both the sheeple inside and outside the mall. The fact that his motivation to act as he did was due to his impulse to shop and inability to shrug it off for being as insignificant as it is is what makes this, and him, just as retarded as the rest of those folks.

I think most of us get that it's good he's making a fuss, it's still funny though. The kid on the glass was also an added element of fun to the whole thing. I think it's mainly at least in my opinion, that it's the fact that he can't go shopping that drove him to speak out that's sad, not that he's speaking out to the authorities.

Unbelievable. Shopping centers are privately owned and they allow the public in during specific hours. Many people have the crazy assumption that shopping malls are public property for some reason.

If you are a person who does not believe the "sheep" mentality exists, go to your local mall and REALLY look around. I go to a grocery store in my local mall, and I get in and out of that building as fast as I can. Wanna know what I saw today when I went for groceries? About 90% of all the girls in the mall (and there were A LOT of them) were all wearing EXACTLY THE SAME THING. Extremely high cut denim shorts and t-shirts that all look very similar, even in different colors. They're basically zombies with no thoughts of their own. They can't even dress themselves without being told what to wear.

It is not the shopping mall that made the decision -- they were ordered into lockdown by the riot police who were exercising their freshly granted rights to do whatever the hell they wanted - including closing down private businesses.
