What I don't understand is how anyone could think they are this nobody without having any direct face to face contact with the very top level of the Illuminati like the real nobody has had on several occasions. So many want to be him without having any inkling of what it encompasses. I have a feeling it's not easy being him. This guy has the weight of the world on his shoulders.

The weight is not that heavy. In fact I enjoy it. I think what purpose could there be to life beyond fighting evil? It's a never ending, and always stimulating, job.
My wife sometimes warns me about what they can do to me. I tell her that God will protect me. I truly believe that. If it turns out in the end, that there was no God, then none of this mattered anyway. So, again, no weight to bear.
I also think that God is in on it. He could defeat Satan in one swipe if He had an interest in doing so. However, that seperation between good and evil, that's what creates the playing field for the rest of us. It's in God's interests. Without the Devil to tempt us, He'd have a difficult/impossible time figuring out who He wants to select.
