I'm noting that you have a long standing interest in psychology and 'natural health' with your own research, and beginning your own research into QM. Kudos and let me give you a tip:

beware of quantum cranks, like Deepok Chopra...I think his track record in alternative medicine and health is reputable and extensive...his understanding of QM isn't.

So get your QM from credible sources, like Roger Penrose, Fred Alan Wolf and the like. Speaking of which, Penrose and Wolf have also investigated the consciousness aspect of QM.

great place to start, look for videos on Youtube, that is about as easy as it gets, though some videos may insult your intelligence, while others go way over your head, and mine.
