In metaphysical terms this OP makes a lot of sense. Imagine a chess game in which you are forced to sacrifice all your pieces to kill the offending piece, or a gambit where the cost is far too high to pay. For some reason I thought of the movie Book of Eli while reading this thread, perhaps it's a case of God's foolishness being well beyond the world's wisdom. Like the OP said... an offer they couldn't refuse... What is that saying from The Dark Knight, you die the hero or live long enough to become the villian? Is this guy so old as a soul that the Illuminati seem like unruly children to him?
I can buy this story, because he bothered to tell us as if our fates were actually involved, and not as some type of glory hound. I also understand his allegory of a bird on a branch. Even if you non-believers don't... It just adds up somehow.
Quoting: Balls of Crystallized Carbon 1022156 Unruly children yes. I would imagine this person will never make themselves known internationally. Not only because anyone with. .high enough charisma score can proffess to be a chosen one. But it would disadvantage the whole of humanity if the light was to be extinguished.
